Only made the switch a few days ago so I can't say much yet but it's been great so far. Port forwarding is life changing and split tunneling actually fucking works like it's supposed to (though I think my previous issues with it were just from Surfshark being shit). Speeds are great too, can't say anything about peering since as I said I couldn't use port forwarding before so most of the difference I'm seeing obiously comes from that. My only gripe with it is just the browser extension that's too basic and doesn't even have a favorite countries tab but you might not care about that part
To be fair it's not like you have a lot of options nowadays anyway so the choice isn't too hard to make. Only a handful of VPN services still support port forwarding, main ones being this and PIA, but when I was looking around for info I saw that PIA apparently doesn't support manual Wireguard config files, only OpenVPN, and it sounded like they had less options overall so I didn't want to risk it. It is cheaper though

Everything database crashed randomly. My offline drive indexes had to be rebuilt. What a pain. I had to get my old hard drives which I stored in boxes and replug them. Before I did that, I might as well update to the 1.5 Alpha version. It's so much faster and there's automatic database backup. I recommend this version.

I wrote this last week. I didn't post any updates since then. The command worked on telnet and I was able to dump the passwords to all the different ssids. I didn't find a way to bypass the fortinet crap but one of the ssids does have faster speeds like I suspected. Right now I am at a different mall that also has a restaurant from the same chain. Is part of the reason that ggn/red had their keys leak - they essentially had a race condition that allowed the user to join as the registration bot.

The attacker harvested irc keys and used them to get into sites. That's why RED and GGn are out resetting everyone because the ddos was big enough to break the network that badly.

my entire nas consists of used hdds, 8x18tb
all in perfect health, on average had like 10k hours when I bought them, now at least 20k on all of them.
Never had any issues. I feel like most issues with hard drives will occur early on, and the ones that only survive for a few k hours will already be filtered out by that point.
I have my nas on 24x7, running multiple applications on it like plex and a torrent client. I wouldn't use it for data I absolutely don't want to lose but most stuff I'd be able to redownload anyways.
