>try macOSWeird scaling since Big Sur, Settings menu has bipolar disorder, all the good widgets cost actual physical money >try Windowseleven different design languages in one, and they're not even trying to pretend that Windows Shell can work on anything slower than a quantum supercomputer (see NVIDIA documentation on Windows increasingly requiring more GPU resources just to idle), and the animations aren't even good enough to justify it >try Xfce/LXQt/LXDE/Budgie/Cinnamon/Deepin/etc.Dogshit Xorg DE is dogshit, anything without Wayland on a Unix-like system is a meme >try GNOMEInherently un-ergonomic design, GTK weirdness, it looks really good though - have to give them that >Le window manager with a Waybar shell!!They made five for Niri and not a single one allows you to adjust drawing tablet sensitivity without having to edit a .txt config (WMs don't come with text editors preinstalled and you have to manually set file extension associations)I've tried them all, I've even tried ReactOS, yet I keep coming back to KDE Plasma, it is ergonomic, it is lightweight as fuck, it is so customizable I gave up on it halfway through because I couldn't decide how I wanted my desktop to look, it has proper fractional Wayland scaling support, it is the most mature with HDR thus far through Kwin, you can turn it into a tiling window manager with one script, how did the Germans do this? Is this the best desktop GUI in the history of desktop GUIs?
Forgot to mention>COSMICit's in the alpha stage, looks promising, but every update is so different from what came beforehand that I don't know what direction they're taking with it anymore
>>106868384Back in the day, kde was flaky in some cases. Is it good now?
>>106868407It's incredible, Plasma 5 was buggy as all hell, yes, but I've used Plasma 6+ on three different distros now, I have literally yet to encounter one issue for hundreds of hours and I'd consider myself a power user by Linux display standards

>>106868570Sir/ma'am, that's a screenshot of Kdenlive being used to edit a promotional commercial for Okular, you have mistaken this for being Okular itself, somehow
>>106868582is kdenlive any good?
>>106868612It's okay for day-to-day, it's no Premiere alternative though, on Linux I use DaVinci Resolve Studio for colour-grading and big projects KDE has some open-source projects that are pretty much FOSS industry standards like Blender now - one of which is Krita, but Kdenlive is not one of them unfortunately
>>106868634Video is hard. On Samsung phones, you can assemble clips. Except it doesn't handle some videos correctly.
Don't kid yourself, kde is mostly developed by american trannies.

>>106868899Are you trying to compete with Linux in uptime? lolalso, outdated system, 1809, security vulnerabilites with no way to patch, useless desktop
>>106869419I'd rather use Windows or any proprietary OS than outdated & insecure garbage like X11, which lacks support for the most basic of desktop features
I like KDE, but i can't use it on my desktop due to the fake mirror display issue. I use it on my laptop, though.
