What I don't understand is, Tubular (NewPipe) on Android works for me almost perfectly. Why can't they just fork a desktop GUI instead of bothering with their never working backend?

Well I updated to the beta by downloading the .pacman file since it isn't on the official repo yet, the update fixed it for me tho! tysm freetube!
