Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) versions have different end-of-life dates, with the latest version, LTSC 2021, ending support on January 13, 2032. This is distinct from standard Windows 10, which reaches its end of support in October 2025, and is meant for specialized use on embedded and IoT devices, not general desktop use

I went and used massgrave to activate the Extended Updates on this 7 year old laptop, but it tells me that my Windows 10 Pro is already permanently activated, so I guess I'm already good to go for the next 3 years. Worst case scenario, I'll just install IoT LTSC.

Just look at this thing's specs, and the RAM is soldered so I can't even upgrade it, but it has been going strong for so long, I don't think it's right to bump it. I even got it a new battery last month.

australian here. let me just say, you arent ready for whats going to happen on oct 14. we thought it was a joke at first, but.... it doesnt matter now. there isnt much time left, im going to go down into the basement and spend whats left of time with my family. to the rest of you, i beg you, pls, sar, do the needful and update to the latest version of windows 11 microsoft 2h1d 24hr update edition. windows 11 is the most up to date and secure version of windows to date and is running the most powerful webbrooswer: edge. with copilot and winders defender, you will be safe from virus and dangerous windows zero day exploits.

HERES UR """DEBLOATED"" WINBLOWS 10 BRO
SENDING CONNECTIONS TO MICROSOFT EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU OPEN A FILE ON YOUR COMPUTER

https://sizeof.cat/post/windows-telemetry/

>Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 (what nu-/g/ shills): 20 connections
>>Windows Server 2019 (what 2022-nu/g/ shilled): 32 connections
>Windows 7 Professional: 1 connection

>usecase for respecting privacy?
Enjoy sending telemetry to Microsoft only for your OS to get worse every time a new release comes out.
10 users are in the same bus as 7 users. Might as well downgrade to 7 once everything magically stops working on 10 despite working in the same environment prior, amirite?
10 does not magically become a privacy respecting, optimized OS after support is dropped. It is still a frankenstein combination of old native code and XAML bullshit among whatever other "frameworks" Microsoft plops onto their OSes now.

You've been doing the same exact thing with your computer you were doing a decade ago. Why upgrade if you aren't invested in AAA gayming?
>>

The deadline hit but I was 30 mins to the end of life extended support. I popped in my Microsoft account and signed in, it shows I was qualified for free windows security upgrades till late 2026. None of my data synced, one drive is disabled....I am pissed but also relieved because I have time to move to Linux and learn how tf to use anything but .exe, I have a lot of pirated software and video editors and my hardware is from 2020 so pretty much obsolete.

What do I do with the shit on my device currently? I don't want it stolen in some Win10 trojan or malware, that includes my passwords and private data. Do I just copy and paste what I can into an external drive and move on? I'm sure as fuck not trusting an AI built OS hold onto my shit in the cloud where it will no doubt be breached within a few years.

Doesn't matter. The obsolute worst people that could possibly lay eyes on your data already have it because you deliberately granted them access to it as the retarded normie you are and will always be. Please gtfo and rope.

I did massgrave + TSForge for ESU. Script output looked good, gave me three years. slmgr /dlv output looks good as well. But the Windows Update page in settings still has a message about enrolling in ESU. Am I in good shape, or what's up here

Literally the only thing it was missing that I used in windows 10 home was a photo viewer. I chose nomacs, and it's a lot better than microsoft photos anyway. That's it. It stripped away all of that unused bloat.

I've been using IrfanView almost exclusively since 98.

>>106888501
I haven't bothered to download any photo viewers yet, it just opens them in Paint.
>>
>>106888577
I almost chose it, but when I looked them to look at their ui's nomacs was a bit more appealing to me. Almost went for qview but I wanted something with a larger userbase. I briefly had imageglass then I learned about the creator making a deal with spider.com in 2022 that put a vulnerability on your computer, he did it for money and all trust is lost after that, don't care how much he apologized or how fast he removed it after he was caught.
