Laws except for very specific stuff like copyright/trademark deals stop being applicable outside the borders(censorship and privacy laws are NOT subject to any international treaties AFAIK).Even the US has laws asking foreign banks to report activities of US citizens/residents, the only proper answer to that was telling the IRS to fuck off. But losing USD access would mean losing access to international finance. So the feds got to shoehorn their shitty laws outside their borders
