That will be 20k British Pounds plus 100 tip for every day of no compliance Mr. 4chan.

But 4chan users support gay pride! Why would they do this???
It's okay to be gay!!

I still don't understand how this is related to some foreign country's laws. Britain should just filter 4chan like they already did with piratebay etc over 10 years ago.
This smells so fishy.

>now down to 100

that's what they will do once 4chan refuses to pay
plus put pressure on every business that deals with 4chan like coinbase (4chan uses this for crypto payments) to drop 4chan
coinbase will drop 4chan because they actually have more important business in the UK than some neet website

countries have many reciprocal laws and laws which can be called on by foreign/outside parties. not everywhere and i would guess the USA 1A trumps everything. i worked for a hong kong company and we had EU GDPR things we had to follow even though the EU had no jurisdiction there were HK regulations which enforced the EU GDPR and made some of it applicable. this was not direct HK GDPR but a reciprocal "EU passed a law and you have responsibilities under X and Y".
ignoring 4chan is american, the UK law does reach farther than the UK border because countries join together to fuck people.
>>
>>106873773
The blue boards should be fine, just do it like 4channel used to do and hide the NSFW boards
>>
>>106873750
Reminder this law is weighted in favour of big social media platforms which is where kids are seeing all the harmful content and small platforms like 4chan and regular old forums are suffering because the big guys can bribe/comply their way through all the additional costs and kill all the competition.
>>
>>106873805
>that's what they will do once 4chan refuses to pay
And that's what'll happen. The UK is free to block 4chan if they want, but 4chan isn't a company within UK jurisdiction.

is the pointman on getting US to tell England to fuck off
>>
>>106873750
If you think this is bad they are putting kids in front of cameras saying things like "I don't feel safe unless I know who people are on the internet" and pushing the idea that your digital ID should be required for all social media and sites you can post on.
>>
>>106873890
That's true of basically all regulations, and in fact is the actual intended purpose.

That's pocket change to hiroshimoot. Unlike moot, hiroshimoot is a competent businessman and has built a fortune of multiple millions of dollars.

Companies without any legal presence in the EU do follow GDPR because of fear they get blocked and lose a potential market. Laws except for very specific stuff like copyright/trademark deals stop being applicable outside the borders(censorship and privacy laws are NOT subject to any international treaties AFAIK).
Even the US has laws asking foreign banks to report activities of US citizens/residents, the only proper answer to that was telling the IRS to fuck off. But losing USD access would mean losing access to international finance. So the feds got to shoehorn their shitty laws outside their borders
>>
>>106873805
But cant you just pay 4chan directly from your own crypto wallet? There are no third party payment processors this way.
>>
>>106873750
This was a 4D chess move by Mr. Musk.
>tell Mr. Trump to put pressure on the UK
>UK bans 4chan
>USA bans 4chan for not complying with UK laws
>now that 4chan is dead anons are forced to migrated to X
Sasuga Elon Musk-sama!

Any country can just arbitrarily fine anybody in any country. It’s not going to work, though.
In this case, the fining authority has about as much understanding (and similar ethical framework) to, say, Russia.
>>
>>106875055
yes, therightstuff.biz does this. they automate new wallets per subscription and just send the money to their company wallet. converting the coinshit to real currency is the issue.
>>
>>106873750
> please give us a one-time €26,000 fee to continue to operate.

It doesn’t seem like a legitimate authority if you ask me. I’d be using every opportunity to challenge it.
Sometimes in the US even the states fight over things like this, so their pretty good at handling i.
>>
>>106873750
why do the jannies of this site think we care about some gay UK bullshit like this?
>>
what a terribly-managed country
>>
>>106873750
If I was mootykins, I'd rangeban the UK.
Like google and adbook had when the EU wanted them to have transparency in ad targeting.
>>
>>106875161
That is not comparable.
Google is a DARPA project and therefor mouthpiece of the US government, which is hostile towards Russia.
Fining them an unpayable sum is a way to lock Google out of the Russian market and seizing all their assets in Russia, while not having to go through the legal paperwork to declare them a foreign agent or having to do illegal sanctions.

Meanwhile the UK here... they dont want to block 4chan and there are no assets to seize. They want to apply their law globally.
>>
Why is 4chan okay with showing degenerate porn to children?
>>
>>106875681
paying it forward
>>
>>106875681
Most jannies are trannies.
Grooming children with degenerate porn is what trannies do.

>the USA 1A...

Think about tiktok.
>>
>>106875704
In the worst case they are just as badly of as with the EU, because the EU does the exact same thing.

Idk why butthurt belters do this whole "haha, you are as shit as we are, loool" thing.
>>
>>106875704
what's up with germans?
>>
>>106875663
>they dont want to block 4chan
No, that's probably EXACTLY what they want to do and they'll use 4chan's obvious refusal to pay as an excuse to do it, because their bongistani law obviously does not apply beyond their own country. They cannot enforce anything or collect any fines beyond their own back yard, but they CAN say "see, they were violating our laws and refused to comply with punishment, therefore we have no choice but to ban them."
>>
>>106875734
what's up with russians?
>>
>>106875746
what has Russia to do with censorship laws in the EU and UK?
Is Von der Leyen a Russian plant?
>>
>>106875770
This is in the UK, not in EU. UK is no longer in EU.
>>
>>106875786
then why we talking about >>106875704
?
>>

only russians or russian diaspora say "butthurt belter"
