You can carry a smartphone, remove the SIM card and also carry a pocket WiFi. This leaves the smartphone more energy to be used for the operations on the bottom. You should also carry a steam deck. WhatsApp, Messenger and Telegram can all be used through desktop web. This fulfills all of the requirements without turning you into a smartphone zombie.

What's the point in doing all this when the flip phone has all the spying capabilities?
>>

You already are carrying a backpack for your laptop, might as well also add dedicated devices

How's the Ixus? How much do you actually use a dedicated camera?

You can get away with not fulfilling your curiosity at moments notice.
You don't need to read a book with you at all times, but you might want to sometimes.
You don't need a GPS with you at all times, but it's handy sometimes.
You don't have to fill every moment of your life with music, ever since they removed the headphones jack I don't listen to music on the go.
You don't need to play games all the time, maybe sometimes it makes sense.
You don't need to take photos all the time, but it's sometimes handy.
In fact you don't even need a phone, why even have a device with a microphone that you cannot attach on you 24/7? it's just a whole bunch of pain when you know that the government ring your head and have you psychologically tortured for what you say outloud to yourself with woman in your head.

>whatsapp, messenger.
Enjoy constant government spying and random woman telling you who you can and cannot contact from your friends and family at any given moment having aneurysms about Russian GRU intelligence agency if it's anyone from abroad.
It's handy like 10% of the time and 90% of the time it's pain regardless of whom you contact and whether they asked you about something first or not.
Might as well use SMS ngl at least the bois from the 3 letter agencies are shutting off the random woman talking to your head etc. when you do.

Let me see
>phone
I most certainly need this
>music
Not required, I can carry a pmp if I know I want to listen to music. Also some dumbphones let you play music and have sd card slots
>gps
Rarely needed when walking, but it is a selling point for me because my orientation is terrible.
>ereader
I don't need it on a regular day. I read either at home or when I go to the beach
>camera
I only take pictures outdoors, and I carry a backpack so I have no problem carrying a camera
>handheld
I don't like playing on handhelds
>web browsing
I rarely do it on my phone
>messaging
While convenient, sometimes, It's not mandatory for me and it gets annoying as well.

You don't need to carry 8 million different devices everywhere you go.
A trip to the grocery store would require only your wallet, keys, and a list of what you need to buy on a piece of paper.

A trip to the grocery store could require just a smartphone if your wallet, keys and list are on the phone.
I think anyone doing that is retarded but the point is carrying the minimum required for the given task is gay. Carry things that are useful.

You don't need it. I've traveled all over the country without GPS, I just write directions on a notecard. I do use digital maps but I don't need access at the drop of a hat.
The hardest thing is that when you get somewhere no one knows how to give directions anymore, so finding the nearest Mcdonalds can be a pain.

thats actually superior because youre not going to carry all that shit around with you.
i take one or two devices usually depending on the task. flipphone, mp3 player, e-ink reader, laptop, notepad, binder, pens, rulers...
theyre each superior for their suited tasks
while your smartphone is shit at all these functions because it tries to do everything instead of mastering something, also one source of battery lulz

>mp3 player
hell yes! it has physical buttons and you can navigate most options just by tactile sensation, instead of the madness of touchscreens where that's impossible... music is also a great way of stopping normalfaggots and their pointless and stupid conversations
>gps
I'm old school and I just use physical maps
>e-reader
I have one without online "features" (read: spying) and physical buttons. e-ink screen means I can read anything I want in direct sunlight in the middle of summer, unlike backlit screens
>camera
I honestly don't know if I'd use it if I had one... it might just end up as e-waste.
>handheld console
I can always play at home on a much larger screen...
>internet access
so every big tech corpo, their creepy employees and the goobermint can spy on me 24/7? no thanks.
>communication apps
leave me the fuck alone when I'm afk

Could you have picked a worst example? McDonalds has giant signs, unironically one of the first things I do whenever I travel anywhere is memorizing the location of a few. I rarely even go in, it's just really convenient to know "If I see the sign, it means I'm near a known place" and that you can walk somewhere else through a known route when you get there

Why would I carry five devices on me instead of one? You guys are so quirky haha
>>
The bigger question should be why can't you have all the benefits of a smartphone, without the shit you're scared about? That is where you should be focusing your time for both technical and legal solutions. We're now 20+ years out of date on privacy laws. Work on fixing that for example; all the other shit should be for the interim

>>106908001
I want the power of a gaming desktop in the form factor of a smartphone. then I will just buy docking stations and place them in the places I frequently visit. All of it running on a single 5v usb connection(yes, this includes the 1080p @60hz monitor as well). It is the future of computing due to it's sheer convenience. Though HDD storage will remain a thing for obvious reasons.

These days phones are so retardedly large you pretty much need a backpack anyway.

It's no wonder baggy pants are so popular with zoomers. Wouldn't surprise me if cargo shorts starts becoming a fashionable trend soon.
