No idea which one without digging it out it was on a $3k laptop in like 2006ish, Q6600, i5-2500k, some other k series shorlty after the 2500k IIRC I think I sold my mobo with everything to my friend for cheap, 3950x, 9950x and then random ones for other builds like HTPCS, plex servers, etc. over the years. Q6600 is my favorite CPU of all time probably though. Thing was a monster and I overclocked it to 3.6Ghz on air with my case off and a fan blowing in it on the highest setting. Also in my first full build from scratch PC.GPU was no idea until the sapphire radeon 9600, then a nvidia gt 7800m, then an XFX? nvidia 9800 gtx, then dual SLI nvidia 560ti EVGA and MSI, then EVGA 670 4GB, then a EVGA 2080 Super, and now a MSI 5080.The 670 is probably the greatest card I will ever own. That thing literally was still playing modern games perfectly fine on my PC in 2019? when I upgraded. That 4GB of VRAM in 2012 was insane and also when I started using triple monitors (now 57" UW).RIP EVGA, the goats, my favorite mobo might have been my 790i ultra.
>>106916429imho the Radeon 9700 was the absolute GOAT GPU even though I never owned one, no other card was this far ahead of its time and stayed relevant for so long in an era where GPUs became almost obsolete in a single generation.

I fixed my own bicycles since I was 9 years old.I was reminiscing about our next computer today, I recently refurbished the graphics card. I had to modify the heatsink a little to fit. It came from a different card.In hindsight we should have bought an X4 Athlon II instead of the Phenom II X2 and the 1GB version of the HD 5750 instead of the 512MB model. It was a prebuilt system.

A CPU, a stick of ram, maybe a new GPU.3) Stable job, plenty of money: Upgrade a lot, play everything, hardware dick measuring contests on internet.4) Get old: By this time hardware does not become outdated as fast as during 1 and 2, computers last a lot more, I start dreading changes.
