I still put music on a usb drive to listen to in the car. Fuck spotify, fuck itunes and carplay + I'm not getting fined for fiddling with my cellphone. Here we risk losing our drivers license for 2 weeks when getting caught using our phone while driving.

256GB flash drive with my music collection on it so I can listen to everything on my laptop while traveling. Chinkshit flash media wears out too quickly if you're writing to it often so this is ideal as a write once, read often use case.

But if they had a computer problem, they would just replace the whole thing, let IT set it up and put it in its place. So same principle applies: you need a 'host adapter' so the phone becomes the host and drive will be usb mass storage. Normally when you connect a phone to pc, the pc is the host and the phone behaves as a device connected.
