Not really, S23 still has three security updates which is pretty good for a phone you can get for under $300, and with the S24 line and up all Samsungs get 7 years of OS/security updates so if you wait till the S26 comes out and get a dirt cheap S24 you'll still have a good half decade of updates for again, less than $300

I think the actual company Nokia hasn't made smartphones for years, but they licensed their brand to another Finnish company called HMD, who made Nokia-branded smartphones. However it now seems that HMD are making smartphones under the HMD brand, so I don't know if they'll make any more Nokia-branded phones.

From last thread, if anyone has suggestions for >Pixel 10 Pro Fold
chargers (wired and wireless/Qi2/magsafe/pixelsnap) , cases (Dbrand Grip Case looks so far the best option, though I do wish they would have made a Ghost 2.0 for the Fold, not just the normal Pro / XL.), screen protectors (Dbrand Prism 2.0 seems decent..anything better. ALso for the Fold it appears the only protectors are on the outside, but if someone's making a foldable tempered glass protector for the tablet inside screen, then I'd be very interested. At least the 10's foldable display is glass for the first time, not plastic), and the like.

Also
>Fixing scratch/chip/drop cosmetic damage on the back / hinge area if possible
not sure if there';s some process or compound that can improve it without making it worse or if I should just wait for the case to get here and not worry about it otheriwse.

OnePlus 15 Geekbench results

OP13 is the most reliable in this list in terms of support.

POCO and Realme are beasts in terms of hardware specs and battery, but on the software side or updates they are more risky. I've heard Realme deliberately shits on performance through updates, don't know if that's still true. With POCO you will need to debloat, it has the worst OS out of the three.

If you wanna be safe just go with OnePlus.

>RedMagic's update policy varies by region, with EU and UK customers receiving five years of software support (including major OS and security updates) for new devices, while other regions generally receive three years of support. Previously, the policy was around 2 years of software support with at least one major OS update and regular monthly updates.
Hope you're in the EU or UK or prepared to trash the phone or be insecure within a few years.

So? Battery is a consumable and can be replaced. At least Apple TELLS you what the capacity is vs the original, unlike Android where you have to use an app to measure charging and guess at what the real capacity might be.

I want a flagship killer and don't care about camera, hence why I specifically said those chinese brands.

OnePlus 13R
Realme GT 7
Poco F7 Pro

all go for around €500 here (even less on Aliexpress), with flagship tier specs.

I want a phone to last me 5+ years. I don't want a Goysung or Goygle phone because again idc about camera and I value hardware over software.

I'm basically going to stop carrying a phone. This was the last good phone, but even Sony appears to have given up on open source and custom roms as of two generations ago. The last good phones were Xperia 1/5/10 mark V. There's no reason to bother with any other phones since others don't have fundamental features I need like headphone jack or microsd card.
So I'm done carrying the tracking device. The juice ain't worth the squeeze any more.
>>
>>106934695
It's easier than you think, anon. I have never carried a cell phone with me. I have it if I'm travelling, or if there's some weird unique circumstance. Never any other time. got tired of the big phone meme and went from an iphone 15 pro max to a base 17, an fyi to anyone considering comparable trade-ins:
>if you purchase online and do an in-store pickup, you can have your trade-in handled right then and there and not deal with the mail-in system despite apple's site explicitly stating that that's the only means of receiving credit during the checkout pages
>if you attempt to just walk in and trade in/exchange in-store without pre-purchase, the value for your old phone is given to you as an apple gift card now — this was not the case prior
>when they credit your trade-in in-store and get to the point of applying your partial "refund," they suggest you need to tap the same card used as payment, but you can actually have that return credit apply to any card you have at your disposal
the last point idk if someone can benefit from some sort of strategy between their cards, but thought i'd share in case there's some rare instance for an anon where that plays into their favor
