I've been using Linux Mint since 2017, I'm not a beginner anymore, is it shameful that I'm still using Linux Mint? I feel like I should have grown out of it but I didn't. Am I a manchild?
>>106936817I started using linux over 15 years ago and I use mint. It's a good distro.
You can use whatever distro you want. Whatever feels right, and does what you need it to.
>>106936817>is it shameful that I'm still using Linux Mint? No, Linux Mint just werks so you can focus on getting things done.
normal human being:>I use whatever OS works the best for me. I'm open to changing my OS if I have some problem with my current one./g/cel:>umm...am I not a leet hacker enough? should I distrohop a couple of dozen times for no real reason except to collect virtual badges? I don't want to get laughed at by the pajeets and trannies on 4chan....
>>106936817if the package situation hasnt given you an aneurysm (dpgk, apt, ppa, flatpak, appimage, snap, idk what other garbage), then just stay on mint
>>106936908people don't like being laughed at, it's human condition
No sense in making things more difficult for the sake of making things more difficult.
>>106936921If trannies and jeets are criticising you then you are doing something right.
>>106936817the only reason i went to fedora is because the packages were newer and dnf is similar to apt so it wasnt much to think about
>>106936817You would want fedora if you NEED the newest version of all the software you use. If that wasn't an issue to you up until now then you're good. (You'd probably just get annoyed be the constant updoots)
Just use debian
>>106936817Mint is the closest to a working Linux desktop. Using anything else is hipster nerd hobby shit, or wishful thinking.
