I always end up getting an update the messes my stuff up with Cachy and Bazzite just comes with too much useless crap. I'd just go with Fedora and set it up for gaming or maybe Nobara.

Hypothetically speaking though, CachyOS is better IF your favorite game happens to be in its optimized repos. I hope you like OpenMW, 0 A.D., Xonotic, SuperTuxKart, etc.

I love love love Cachy and think they're doing a great job but their updates regularly break the device. I credit Bazzite with getting me to an intermediate level with the terminal which made tinkering with cachy easier.Right now, I'm using Bazzite on my ally x and laptop. Cachy is on my wife's steamdeck so she can play her sims 4 and other RTS games and my kiddo just has steamOS on her legion go.
