You can clawback costs for downtime beyond what's specified in the contract so it's still decently competitive versus hosting it yourself with your own IT staff for doing it local with no guarantee of uptime. Most company IT depts are staffed by retards, too

It does become spenny when you try to keep a large amount of data in the cloud meme or want to migrate away and have to pay to take ur datas with you
