how am i supposed to know the size of that with no reference
Ideally
>>106967079Dont mac minis have neural cores
>>106967057I'm not a hater of macs like many here but the mac minis are ugly to me. Just bland little squares with rounded corners. It looks like a bin for holding pencils. They should have gone in a more pic related direction
>>106967087>neural coresfuck this fucking gay earth.
>>106967065
>>106967087Idk. Probably. Not really what I need though. I'd make a dedicated stable diffusion server separate from my dedicated portable gaymin rig.
>>106967118I think its easier to play games on the cloud than run models on the cloud
>>106967133I mean doesn't need to be on a cloud. In fact, what I render shouldn't be on a cloud anyway. I just meant typing in the local IP address on the webbrowser. But instead of 127.0.0.1:7860, just type in 192.168.1.120:7860. No port forwards needed.

>>106967088Does that cassette store data like noise = 1 and silence = 0? Or was it just a music player back then?
>>106967270yep it was for storage
>>106967114that could be a 4" monitor for all i knowyou buffoon
>>106967270Using two different tones to represent 0 or 1 was common at the time, but Commodore, as was typical for their data storage, made something more complex, more robust, and much slower.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodore_Datasette
>>106968410Wow that was a really great read. I love the solutions that were made for ×Ħlder technology
Small computers will make sense if GPU's ever become obsolete (if graphics integrated into the CPU will ever be enough for gaming, rendering, and AI) and if they ever really do invent room-temperature superconductors.
>>106969210For <%90 of people's needs mini pc's are plenty, thumb stick sized devices would even be adequate. Take a smart phone, remove the battery, screen, cellular modules, camera, etc and there's not much left. Ideal 'puter size is to be so small and integrated or to be on a rack hidden away as to not be visible.
>>106970964we do need to get rid of modular computing in the home that's a major ick and so dangerous for the future anyway
>>106970964>For <%90 of people's needs mini pc's are plentyI realized it recently when I got a minipcWorks oddly well and silentlyUnless I'm playing bideogames, what the hell do I even need a big GPU for? Granted my old laptop with no gpu gets hot as fuck with a few browser tabs open and especially youtube/videos, but if the minipc I got is anyting to go by laptops have gotten better as well
>>106967362>AMDintel-cels...our response?
>>106967057Based. Unless you're into AAA gaymen, anything larger than a mini PC is a waste of space and power.
>>106967057kys shill
>>106967057I want fanless small pc that is galinstan-cooled with electrohydrodynamic pump(s)
If electricity were totally free then the dead space in some of my interior walls would be filled to the ceiling with racks. Central computing with nothing but dumb screens for end users.
Docking your phone as your ONLY computer would have become the standard, except:1. Microsoft can't make good phones2. Google can't make a good OS3. Apple can't make good decisions
>>106971242You're absolutely right! Thank you for thinking of the power grid of the cuck pods!
It's a consoleIt's a handheldIt's a desktop PCIt's a mobile PC
>>106972411
>>106972411>battery explodes from overheatinghope you have good pod insurance
>>106972430
>>106972433is Steam paying your pod rent?
>>106967057Ideally computers should exist entirely in the ether. Mac Air Air would be environmentally friendly and best of all you own nothing.
>>106972443My Steam Deck is my primary PC. Why are you mad?
>>106972468>Why are you mad?I hate the propagation of the pod life bugs and electric quota lifestyle.
>>106968215Could it be a 1" iphone too you fucking retard
>>106972485The advantage of the Steam Deck is its adaptability, not its TDP. If anything, I wish it had a high-power mode when docked.
>>106972505The Switch really mindbroke millions of people. You can increase the Deck's power limit, buddy.
ATX is fine but even that is almost to small for me to comfortably reach all components
>>106967057The ideal computer size:
>>106972570Think of all the waste you're making sir!
>>106967097ANON YOURE NOT COUNTER CONVENTIONAL ARE YOU? YOU WONT GET PUSSY LIKE THIS
>>106972570>almost to small for me to comfortably reach all components
loli'puter
>>106972485Please kill yourself. Think about it, atleast.
>>106972595Use case for S25+ when S25FE exists?
