In 5 years, every new car (be it electric or ICE) will have a huge touchscreen, and it will display ads while you drive, and people will think it's not a big deal.
>>
Not only will they not care, they will celebrate it and mock you for arguing that it shouldn't be this way.

Yeah, like the retards who defend multi-billion companies claiming they "subsidise the price of their services with ads".
>broooo, just pay for the premium, like, brooo, it's just a few hundreds of dolars per year

Pipe bomb maker?

Sounds gay, but you can still buy an old car. It will be a long time before you can't do that.

>but you can still buy an old car.
Anything built post-2010 is falling apart because it's filled with comically expensive parts that need to be reprogrammed in the dealership.
And older cars will also not last forever...

The jews did a number on us.

>>106967272
Bullshit. I agree that nucars are "le bad" but there are many types of cars available that are fine and not expensive to maintain.
>>
>>106967178
you will probably be able to earn miles of charge at the charging station by watching ads
>>
>>106967309
No, it's really not.
During the 2008 economic crisis, car makers saw their profit shrink and came up with the idea to not make money only selling brand new cars but also by forcing people to go to dealerships for specific fixes that should happen frequently.
Nowadays you have a network in your cars, the CAN (Control Area Network) that can check if the code in the part has been rewritten for your VIN; if not, it will not even let the ECU start. They made this on purpose so people will be forced to go to the dealership. And by doing so, they can make repairing older cars too expensive, forcing people into buying a new one.
It's literally not economically viable to keep a 5-year-old car when it starts to show problems.

Well that might be the case. To be honest I live in Australia and it's not that bad here. I often forget how incredibly jewish burgerland is.
>>
You live in a democracy (supposedly), do your part and force those leeches to add a law for something that isn't that retarded and dystopian.

Just stop coping and get a bike. If you have a soul it's the only way to go at this point. Then you will know the truth which is that cars going to shit is in fact a good thing.

>he doesn't know bike makers are adding AI slop to the brakes (that turns the bike into a subscription)

>>106968056
they're nice but there's moments when you need a car. depends on climate as well

The next political wave will be liberalism and citizen empowerment, especially here in Europe. The economy is fracturing into B2B and poorer citizens. Keep in mind poverty = lack of options. LLMs = clear path for your own empoerment and also an awareness of how we are getting.

The question is how you think grassroot companies will fare under heavy regulations (consider illiberal settings of major companies). You'll get your DYI car and you're dyi everything, but you'll have a lot of breaking of regulations and corporations will cry about this and this is where the cyberpunk dystopia starts.

Start investing and try to figure out what countries are going corporate and which are going citizen.

I have a 2002 Ranger but moved to the upper Midwest where they douse the roads with salt all winter. I'd like to keep my truck for a long time but I know it's just a matter of time before it gets eaten away.

Old cars will be illegal because they won't have mandatory government tracking (to save the kids).
