I don't worry about it. Information is ephemeral and lossy by nature. I'll watch Harmy's Despecialized Edition. I'll download remux. But I'm not gonna worry about some bits because we made it once we can make it again.

many filesystems do checksumming btrfs and gluster for two lets be real who the fuck cares if your dvdrip get a few frames with glitched pixels wont make me swap to btrfs

ext4 apparently just doesn't tell you about it. That's why people think btrfs is unstable because it does actually report bad things like corrupted data.
