Americans will make a Texas Army Knife which requires a monthly subscription or it locks. Also always online cloud-based security features which prevent you from doing anything with it that isn't covered by the terms of use.
>>106971475>not a leathermanshiggy diggy
>>106971475these things are pretty uselessa good 80% of the attachments on them are uselessi've only ever used the main blade, everything else is just if you're a retard and forget your can opener
>>106971486Don't forget the knife needs to be tagged to your Texas National ID and the UK foreigner database so you won't kill someone in a psychotic rageYou smoke WEED and shoot GUNS? Those don't mix, the cops should check you into a looney bin and get you on some strong anti psychotics. If we don't presume that the population COULD kill people with knives and guns in a psychotic cannabis induced rage, then how will we prevent the next 9/11? Better call ICE
>>106971588Most of those tools have hidden uses, for example the corkscrew can untie knots, the can opener can serve as a screwdriver, the wire stripper tool can be used to hold a hot pot or a very effective wedge and there's many more uses for every tool in the kit. Search youtube for it
>>106971664>the corkscrew can untie knotsa pair of pliers is better for untying knots because you can just grab the rope and rip it out of whatever knot it's stuck inhalf of these "hidden uses" are just fanboys making up reasons why it's such a genius design when in reality any old pointy piece of metal could be used, like a tent peg or whatever
>>106971680There's a reason why these things are so popular anon. Having a bunch of specialized pointy metal bits with you in any given situation is simply demonstrably useful. Could you do most od those with just a knife? Maybe. But it wouldn't be as easy.Btw the corkscrew knot trick is fucking great. You twist it once or twice and any knot just relaxes. Try doing that with just a pointy piece of metal, you'll go crazy.

>>106971588The trick to Swiss army knife is you buy one for yourself with the tools you know you'll use. Mine just has scissors, nail file, tweezers, and a toothpick, and I use 100% of those with fair frequency.
>>106971588>a multitool with 30 different functions is uselessLiteral skill issue. Next you'll say that why are knives, scissors, pliers, screwdrivers, sawblades and files a thing when you can just smash things with a rock.
I have a Victorinox Compact and a proper small foldable knife (lionsteel n.one) with me at all times.Haven't needed more.
>>106971588Really, i always have to grind it, to make the knives usable.
>>106971486also it explosively opens all tools at once inside your pocket, stabbing you on the leg when AWS goes out.
>>106972683Holy comma splices. Learn how to use them properly next time.
>>106971475Always have my minichamp on me. Covers nearly all of my needs. Also have a cybertool L, but it's too bulky/heavy to comfortably keep on me depending what clothing I'm wearing.Tempted by the deluxe tinker, the pliers from the larger knives are really nice and that's the smallest that has them afaik
>>106971475>turns you into MacGyver>get arrested for building a tictac cigarette carton bomb
Having lived with them now, I refuse to carry anything that doesn't have scissors, flat+phillips screwdrivers, tweezers, and nail file. They're just too damn useful to go back.
