Is 32GB RAM still enough?
For most tasks, yes.
No, I have 32GB and I regularly run out.
>>106974279No it's current year. Your OS will use 48GB by itself and each browser tab requires another 13.6GB.
No, I have 64GB and I regularly run out.
I was just messing about on my gfs latitude 3510 while it updated because she hasn't used it in 6 months and the 10210u with 8gb ram felt snappier than my aorus 15p with an11800h and 32gb. Screen looked clearer and the keyboard felt way nicer too.Specs are a meme.
I recently lost 8 GB and am down to 8. Haven't noticed a difference
No you need 128 and the computer is not allowed to use any of it or ill make an angry reddit post
>>106974279You'll never regret buying more RAM. You will inevitably regret not having enough.
>>106974279I have 8gb, but I'm considering using cgroups to put a limit of 2gb for the web browser.
what do you guys do to fill up your ram? mine doesn't go further than 16 GiB and I have 32 GiB.
No, I have 8GB and I regularly run out.
>>106974279>Is 32GB RAM still enough?I had 32 gigs and I'm still peckish ...
Is DDR4 still priced at 200+% what it was a year ago?
No, I have 24GB and I regularly run out.

>>106974279Bruh my only computer right now has 16gb of ddr5 soldered to the motherboard I'm fucking ruined it's over
>>106974279I have 16GB RAM but I rarely use more than 12, what are you guys doing to fill it up so much?
Not for Cyberpunk
>>106976214VMs. If not for them, I'd be content with 32 gigs since no game I like uses more than 20-24 anyway.
>>106974938But unused ram is wasted ram
>>10697623132gb is enough for Cyberpunk, but it won't be enough for Europa Universalis 5
>>106974316>>106974351no, I have 128GB and regularly run out
>>10697427916GB here, for normal office work and some lightweight VS Code tasks its more than enough, i use Ubuntu 24, sometimes i let Stremio open, Tidal app for music and some video converter running, i've never noticed any lack of ram
>>1069742798gb is enough if you don't work on your computer as a normalnigger. If you are bit tech-literate, you might still get away with 2 gigs just fine.
>want to make a RAM disk for star citizen (scam citizen I know)>2x48GB kit>the game will probably be bigger than 96GB anyway when it finally gets released (lol)>SSD read speeds will be faster than RAM anyway by that timeBut if you want to run firefox or chrome, no 32GB is not enough.

>>106974279i have 4GB and i don't need more
Is 128 GB still enough to shitpost on 4chan in the current year?
recently upgraded to 64. I can now have multiple twitter tabs open with multiple streams and another youtube tab with a 4k video playing, sportsball streaming in another tab, several 4chan tabs of my favorite boards in zoomed out catalogues, video player playing Vikings at 4K while I'm doing AI gens in ComfyUI while doing multi terabyte transfers from my NTFS drive to my ext4 drive and my computer doesn't skip a beat. There is no way I will ever do 1 thing at a time. This is the future

>>106976296whats the point of buying a large gpu if most of the memory used will be of ram.what's the point of gaming if the games aren't even optimized and dependent on you having excess ramwhat's the point of computing if its all just wasteful?we took a wrong turn the last 15 years
