Threadly reminder that ASML exists solely at the behest of the Department of Energy via the original CRADA agreement with Phillips. EUV started as SDI-era excimer laser research, and it's why Sandia National Laboratories is the patent applicant on all EUV LLC patents. What ASML and TSMC do have is proprietary process engineering to maximize the output and minimize the downtime.
