Are Ensoniq keyboards any good? I saved 2 from going to recycling, models ESP and ESQ-1. I know they're approaching 40 years old, but as vintage gear are they worth keeping?
>electronic keyboards>not mechanical keyboardsCareful now, you might trigger some /g/ autismos.
>>106990160>are they worth keeping?Do every key make a sound? Every button do something? Or is it broken? Dunno how much it would cost to repair them.
>>106990235They don't need to be repaired, they work fine.>>106990227>mechanical keyboardslol, ironically there's a debate about metal vs plastic casing for the ESQ-1.
Ensoniq keyboards have a small cult following since the sound chip in them is the successor of the Commodore 64 SID. Keep in mind these things retailed for $1700 in 1985 so if they still work right, they should fetch a pretty penny today.
a FIZMO is great, 90s edge/tude in synth form. It's the one synth that Uli Behringer doesn't dare clone.
>>106990160Sell them to some synth tard on craigslist and for the money buy a proper modern one for yourself
>>106992358>proper modern one>completely different sound texturekys
owning a cool instrument doesn't turn you into a cool musiciana normally expensive lesson that OP gets to learn for free
>>106993951I just want to know if they should be salvaged instead of thrown to e-waste.
