Do Kernel level anti cheats leave any spyware on your hardware after they're uninstalled? Is there a way for me to check?
>>106990390nigga they ARE spywarebaka desu senpai
>>106990398Read the thread again>after they're uninstalled
It continues collecting data in the background and then analyzes the files whenever you install another game that uses it. It collects serial numbers of every piece of hardware you ever connect to your PC. Even the unique ram stick serial numbers and monitor edid
>>106990412If that's true, how do I get rid of that
underage thread
>>106990439if you had it on your PC once the only way to get rid of it would be to fully scrub all your disks and reinstall any OS you are runningThat is assuming riot doesn't run any more sophisticated attacks like injecting into firmware or some shit.Generally though I doubt they install anything irremovable beyond what you see with Vanguard itself. Why would they bother with advanced attacks if most retards voluntary install and keep it running anyway. So I actually believe it will be gone once you uninstall. In short: Vanguard IS the spyware, as another anon said.
>>106990390That's easy anon.Install Gentoo.
>>106990527I do understand that Vanguard is a nasty piece of spyware, I had a relapse, wanted to play League, played it for a bit, realized it's utter dogshit and uninstalled. I just want to know if there's some shit I have to get rid of after having my goycattle moment
>>106990576As I said make sure to remove Vanguard itself, don't think uninstalling LoL automatically removes it.And if you ARE paranoid, then make sure you wipe your disk as well, this means not just reinstalling windows but making sure you at least wipe the partition table before also fully reformatting the disk.
>>106990390i play this on playstation. the anti cheat cant see shit. isolate activities ler device. why choose insecure computer when you can choose isolated compartimentalized and secure gaming console?
>>106990390>Level 0 anti cheat software >Scans every file, process, memory address, application >Gets defeated by scriptkiddies writing cheats Stop playing AAA slop
>>106990439Scrub it, never install another game with kernel level anti-cheat again.Or just use Linux. Most games with that shit don't work on it, and the rest do.
>>106990390>>106990411>he thinks he can properly uninstall them
>>106990390>proprietary software>mandatory to install>runs on the most privileged level possibleNo, you're fine :)
>>106991699Phew
Can anyone tell me whether having the devoverrideenable set to 1 is good? By default it's 0 but some pirated apps set it to 1, which fucks with Vanguard. Should I set it to 1?
