I installed Microsoft Windows 11 on my chromebook. I went to services.msc to disable updates and the moment I closed the window they turn the service back on.

what *nix can i put on my 4 gigabyte not-even-close-to-quad-core shitbox that still lets me run my ancient win+dos bullshitware (wine is fine but i'm scared of the amount of disk space it needs), won't crawl like a snail and has a sensible and customizable interface for my boomer eyes (OP pic is my current setup: wooden windows with depth)?

Slackware. Just go through the install and choose Xfce for the desktop.
