Have you said Thank You to ebussy for working hard to improve old libraries, yet?
i hate this guy like you wouldn't believe.
thanks for looking out for others ebussy, me too I often make that typo and it could be taken the wrong way without someone to correct it
>>106992337need an ebussi jd vance thank you edit
use case for "thanking someone"?

>>106992337Ebussy is a fucking KING.* gets paid to write toolkits in C* makes incels and brainlets seethe* shuts down dumb bloat requests with 'usecase?'* has sex on the regularWhy is this KING hated on, again? He's actively keeping Gnome polished to avoid becoming an unfettered shitheap like KDE
What's the use case for using an LLM to write github comments? Why even pay him this six figure salary at this point when we could just replace him with an LLM.
If you use any gnome shit libraries in your projects, it's your own fault when shit like happens to you. In the same way that it's your own fault if you got fooled into buying a "smart home hub" and one day discover that you can't turn the lights off because AWS is down or some stupid shit like that. Like the gnome people have a 13 year track record of breaking stuff without a care for anyone else and being smug assholes if anyone ever asks them not to, wtf did you expect?
reminder to build gdk-pixbuf without glycin
thank you ebourgeoisnow please teach me how to create an extension that disables fullscreen unredirection only on specific applications rather than globally
>>106992337what mentally ill commie lmao
Ebussy? Fucking eBASED. Kneel before the king of /g/.
Bussy is ver busy. Now let's see your commits
>>106993684What would be the use case for this.
>>106992337Why do they behave like this? Isn't GNOME supposed to be the serious corporate DE with backing from Red Hat/IBM and Canonical? Can't they tell their people to behave like adults instead of catty teenagers? You don't see shit like this from KDE devs, who are way more professional in their conduct, despite being the tinker tranny DE.
>>106994496>Isn't GNOME supposed to be the serious corporate DEyou fell for propaganda
>>106992337lmao he really did that
>>106994496we should complain to gnome sponsors about his behavior and have him removed
>>106994478Every application that can go fullscreen will use unredirection by forceWith VRR this means even youtube videos or editing software will use VRR when fullscreen which is annoying, it should only be used selectively, mainly for gamesThe current working extension that helps disable this behavior disables VRR globally, at that point I might as well just disable VRR through the settingsGNOME does not provide any way, any environment variable, anything to tell a program not to use VRR when fullscreen, no blackl-- sorry, "blocklist" or any way that you can tell a specific window not to do this.On KDE Plasma, which I don't use because it's a buggy piece of garbage, I can set window rules, so it's possible to tell KWin not to use adaptive sync on certain applications or windows. Why would I want to disable VRR? Because any display technology other than IPS causes flickering if the framerates reported to the monitor fluctuate and are quite inconsistent. The way some of these not game applications behave, the moment you move the cursor, your refresh rate stays at a minimum and jumps to the maximum rate of your VRR range, which is very noticeable not in motion, but in brightness, it's like a fucking strobing effect, it's awful. This was supposed to be a bad thing, GNOME didn't initially think of it being a good idea when Plasma first implemented it, and I guess that they figured out shit like this would happen. But now GNOME and KDE are parallel and equally shit in their own ways and are both led by lunatics.>All this problem would be fixed if you just used x11Indeed, as there -is- a program blacklist. However, there's no HDR support, and I want that, no matter how much you think it's a meme or has no usercase. And finally, finally HDR is working quite well for me.
>>106992337I don't keep up with eceleb drama but honestly every time I see something by this guido posted on /g/ I get the impression that he's absolutely based and basically, you're fucking retarded

>>106992337Use case for saying thank you?
>>106995628>Every time I see shit like this I am confirmed in my decision not to use Linux.Mac and Windows are just as shit, the only difference is with Linux you can hollar at the actual dev and fix their work to mog them personally.
>create an issue complaining about software that ebussy contributes to>he edits your own post to thank himself, then closes and locks the issueHow do you respond without sounding thankful?
>>106992337lmao, absolutely seething. Rewriting peoples comments is unironically problematic tho. And not a good look from an official representative of GNOME. Hopefully this can lead to ebassi being reprimanded and sanctioned
>>106992337i submit to the foot now
>>106992337lol isn't editing critical posts what got the previous reddit ceo in trouble?
wait, so was ebussy really behind the gdk-pixbuf breakage I experienced a couple of weeks ago in my Termux X11 setup where I stopped seeing application icons on the taskbar in XFCE?
>>106999427no, you're thinking of the current reddit ceo for the last ten or so years, and in all likelihood the next ten as well.
>>106999537https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gdk-pixbuf/-/issues/271Neat!
Ebussy is a larper. All of his code seems AI generated
>>106999407>Hopefully this can lead to ebassi being reprimanded and sanctionedNothing will happen, feetfag devs can do pretty much whatever they want and will always support each others bullshit. That's also unironically how they do ""UX testing"", they present their bullshit designs to each other and talk about how great it is.
