What makes you rage the most? For me it's my uni forcing me to write a paper in fucking word instead of latex.
>>
>>106993948
How would your professor know it wasn't made in Word if you're just submitting a PDF (with stripped EXIF data)?
>>
>>106993948
dumbasses like you paying into a system because you're too retarded to see things for what they are.
neck yourself
>>
>>106993968
They are autistic boomers that only want a. docx file. You can fonvert a pdf to it with an online tool easily but when mre of us work on a single paper it's in word.
>>106993974
My uni is free and I work there.
>>
Did you actually ask your professor about it? This might be one of the things where they never considered an alternative and they might be receptive to latex.
Just say this is how all research is submitted and it's nice to learn.
>>
Virtualization no one really uses it but our fucking instructors keep telling us it is used. niggercattle marketing BS.
>>
>>106993948
This is such an unbelievably retarded reason to be upset about, it makes me question the validity of your post
>>
>>106994329
this. I can't imagine anyone seriously caring if you just submit a pdf
>>
all of my coworkers writing everything in typescript or some weird javascript thing (not just code that runs in browsers) that i have no clue about and being forced to learn how this shit works
>>
Anyone who uses ai pisses me off. It steals work.
>>
>>106994329
no, why would he
you are supposed to get mad about imaginary problems
>>
>>106993948

>>
>>106994329
I did but they are old boomers working in a wet lab. They don't have the patience to learn new tech skills
>>106994413
>t. Hasn't ever written a paper
>>106994453
My profs do. Dunno why. That's why it pisses me off.
>>106994535
>>106994544
>bait
Who would get baited by this?
>>
>>106993948
i tried to use my wireless headphones with a windows 11 pc
and Microsoft decided to automatically connect with the shittiest audio quality possible even if I disabled the microphone
I eventually found the solution but damn it was rage-inducing since I just wanted to game with my bros

>>
>>106993948
when i was at uni part of an assignment was a poster presentation about our personal projects for visiting industry open day. the printing facility emailed round a template for a poster for them to print in powerpoint. every person at that school has access to publisher.

Google never fixing Android bugs. They have over 500,000 incorrectly closed bug reports going back to version 1.0.
>>
>>106994535
In my uni the profs used to dismiss whatever you write unless you follow the uni writing guidelines exactly, you can't even make the section title bold and get away with it, what makes you think anon's uni will allow latex
>>
>>106994483
Yes I understand this, the tooling and everything required for TypeScript is such a mess and it changes every 2 weeks too, but experienced programmers cannot stand untyped languages, your coworkers are absolutely correct to use TypeScript. It makes programming so much easier, as it allows for editor linting etc.

Random build breakages
Things not working today that were working perfectly yesterday
Having to wait for gdb to read 5GB of symbols from a network drive before I can debug
Having to wait 30 minutes for the build because I need to change one of 300 build flags
The build immediately failing because someone bumped a dependency version up
The dependency in question taking 30 minutes to build every time the version is bumped
QA reporting unreproducible heisenbugs with missing logs and no context
QA reporting all of these in a batch of 50 tickets immediately before the release deadline
Management bitching about how we can't fix the heisenbugs fast enough and how it'll be our fault if the release slips
Management doing this immediately after moving all the 15+ YOE people who can trivially debug these things out of the team
Management doing this immediately after an RTO mandate that we don't even have enough desks in the office to obey
Management doing this immediately after saying there will be no salary increases in the foreseeable future
Management doing this immediately after the CEO's friends get hired as management consultants for more money in one year than I will ever make

Functions not being treated as first class citizens
>>
>>106994453
I've had several profs that would literally give you a 0 if you submitted a pdf instead of a docx. Luckily, this trend seems to die out above freshman level classes

>latex
My nigga OP thinks he's Craig Wright
>>
>>106993948
Wtf, my uni actually forced us to use latex. I have never seen anybody write a paper in word, lol
