Do you still put CD/DVD-ROMs into your builds?
>>106995817No, that's how you get spiders
>>106995817How fast to they spin? Angle grinders do like 12000 rpm
No, not for a long time. I don't even have room for one, the radiator uses up that space. I have a USB BD writer so I can still access my old discs if I need / want to.
>>106995817no and I don't plan to because they take a precious drive port that could be used for more storageI just need to fiind a usb solution that doesn't suck dicks
>>106995817I have an external blue ray drive that I use for watching movies (getting blue rays to play on PC is a pain in the ass)
>>106995817Nah, been using a USB blu-ray drive for ages.
>>106995817no. I have a usb attached dvd reader and burner that I leave on my desk attached to my monitor's USB hub.

>>106995817yes. burning to blu-ray is still my long term backup solution.
>>106995991>still uses sata>talks of speedoh the ironing
>>106995817Ah, you got me.
I have a pile of old laptop DVD-drives that can be used with an USB cable for those rare cases when needed
>>106995817Yes. Walking around town buying dirt cheap discs then sticking them in my PC is an experience I'll miss when it's gone. I've discovered a lot of cool but forgotten B-tier games I never would have played like this.My main tower also has a dual hard drive hotswap bay, a multi card reader and USB expansion, and one of those cheap plastic drawers which I use to store thumb drives, SD cards, and USB cables. I hope everybody responsible for 5.25 inch bays going out of fashion dies very soon.
>>106995817yes, how else am I gonna listen and backup my CDs and DVDs.
