did you install the operating system yet, and what commands did you use
>>106997527looks cool and scratches the suckless minimalist autismo part of my brain but I cannot be assed to install the whole OS on a virtual machine. Can't you just install the userland from it and execute 9front drawterm as a graphical program though? I might give that a go. I think for that exact reason though something like Inferno seems like an even better model for an OS, but then again, I have no firsthand experience using either, only videos and posts from cat-v.
>>106997527the operating system with a nintendo emulator in base?i can't think of a more poser operating system than this, weird circlejerk around openbsd that for some reason is shilled by czech internet artists. which makes it the perfect candidate for the next /g/ meme

>>106997572There's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plan_9_from_User_Space but I'm not sure this is what you're looking for.
>>106998025It’s the legitimate successor to Unix. Linux has already implemented some of it’s ideas over the years. No *all* of the ideas from *all* of the people were great though. The acme text editor, in my opinion, fills a well-needed gap in the software used with it.

>>106998025run it for 3 minutes and take screenshots
>>106998724how's nvim compared to acme tho
>>106997527Literally what's the point. I'm sure the developers listed on the 9front site are having fun with it as an ongoing opportunity to flex their software dev and art skills (the pamphlets look nice), but as a user past the novelty phase it serves no interest to me. Does all the same shit as anything else with double the inconvenience. I would have more respect for it if it wasn't literally in the promotional material of running Doom and using a file browser. Maybe something new perhaps?
