What do you think about using this for video conferencing?
>>
using a microphone to capture audio? are you sure you've thought this through??

Like, does it not project delusions of grandeur vs a simple business headset with boom arm
>>

depends, do you want to come off as an indian scammer or more like an amateur podcaster?
>>

You make a good point, in any case you can be mocked
>>
a shotgun mic would be a better option

Not needed since all the major services have decent noise cancelling. A cheaper condenser mic like the MV5 or an Elgato Wave Neo can have good quality without requiring the mic be placed half an inch from your mouth, and therefor in the video. Which puts you into podcast larper territory, as anon already mentioned.

Been using the embedded mic on this, and it works great for conferences and vydia chat. It comes with a camera, too, btw.

There's so many solutions for capturing voice like that. Having a mic in the shot is amateur.
