I keep hearing people mentioning AI slop and how anybody can get chat gpt to write a script, elevenlabs for the voice, sora for the b-roll... stuff like that. But am I retarded? Because I don't think I could accomplish that without about as much work as doing it the old fashioned way. I can barely get anything REMOTELY close to the specs I give these things.
>>107001889I earlier this week asked chatGPT to code me a GUI for a simple interface in LUA. It did so in the time it took me to cook an egg. It was a simple concept but it still did it faster than it would take me to learn the language.
>>107001889thats a sick phone, where can I buy it?>>107002037I learned lua with a 5 minutes tutorial on youtube and checking the documentation twice.
>>107002340All you learned is syntax. Congrats, toy can write a command line calculator that can add, subtract AND multiply.
>>107002955look, I made a little shmup engine that records your inputs has replays, all that by watching a pong tutorial and the documentation on how to read/write files
>>107004861and a shader, but to be fair that uses GLSL the lua part was for loading and saving files, writing GLSL took a bit more effort
>>107001889Where is the fox tail for furfags?
>>107002955once you know what programming actually is every language becomes the same thing with a different syntax, specially high level ones with a very simple syntax like python and luaif you can't adapt to a new programming language after just barely reading how to do for loops variables and conditionals you're a nocoder, and since you had to rely on chatgpt to do something so basic in such an easy language I'm probably not far off the mark
>>107005109Syntax is never the problem, you retard. That's my entire point. It takes time to learn learn the available libraries, patterns used by others (you're a special little cookie, adhere to standard practices), avoiding common issues and pitfalls. Chatgpt can only help you a little with it. >I'm probably rightJesus fucking christ...
>>107001889Local LLM increases my productivity just fine. Possibly cause I'm proficient in the areas I'm typically using it for.
