What are some things Windows does better that Linux should emulate/adopt?
>>107003084ads everywhere
>>107003088I don't think you read the second part of OP's question.
It should have decades of software developed for it.
>>107003084i guess running old software on windows itll just work on linux you probably need to do some bs like a virtual machine
>>107003084task manager is easier to use than signalling ones processes through the cli
File structure
>>107003084Functional file manager. Yes, I have tried all of the linux alternatives and they are all baroque and/or have usability issues.
>>107003143gobo linux tried to fix that but no one is listening
>>107003149ranger, you dont need more
>>107003084>What are some things Windows does better that LinuxLiterally everything
>>107003149Open the terminalThe file 'browser' is just cope.
>>107003162>x doesn't work>you don't need x anywayWhy is this so common in the Linux scene
>>107003171>yeah bro, just use the terminal, bro
>>107003185Ah, perfect. Clean.
>>107003183Take me back
I like the Win11 snipping tool with screen recorder and annotations built in. You can cobble together something similar on Linux but it's not easy.
>>107003084They should make a linux distro that perfectly copies windows 11 and looks exactly like it and also runs all windows programs normally but without all the bad stuff and also with some cool things linux can do.
>delete all code>start from scratch>make it like windows 7>release it
>>107003210this but copying windows 7 or XP instead
>>107003149I know, if i want to copy to a protected folder as a sudo user it should prompt for a password, but instead it just does nothing. Then there are stupid workarounds like "open the tab in admin mode" if it even exists
>>107003210Can't because of patents
>>107003223Also a good idea.>>107003252Then they should do it illegally in the piracy way.

>>107003084Windows has a rich ecosystem of malware, it blows Linux's selection out of the water.

Linuxfags are dogmatic fanatics, they'll refuse to copy anything better from Windows on principle because it's from Windows.
>>107003149Thunar
>>107003738Like what?
>>107003753every distro should force users to login online before allowing them access to their computer
>>107003788>force users to login onlineThis is the exact thing that makes apple so juicy and epic games so epic. Linux is so behind on paid apple premium features such as being able to install an application on "your" device after downloading it from your no-extensions-allowed apple firefox browser. For only 69 dollars, you can purchase your premium apple dev certificate code so that you don't have to manually renew your certificate on your mac to use all of your 3 apps on your iPhone. If only Linux would introduce some basic microtransactions...
>>107003084nothing because wine exists so you can just do them on linux
>>107003185Skill issue, faggot.
