What are some things Windows does better that Linux should emulate/adopt?

I don't think you read the second part of OP's question.
>>
It should have decades of software developed for it.
>>
>>107003084
i guess running old software on windows itll just work on linux you probably need to do some bs like a virtual machine
>>
>>107003084
task manager is easier to use than signalling ones processes through the cli

File structure

Functional file manager.
Yes, I have tried all of the linux alternatives and they are all baroque and/or have usability issues.
>>
>>107003143
gobo linux tried to fix that but no one is listening

I like the Win11 snipping tool with screen recorder and annotations built in. You can cobble together something similar on Linux but it's not easy.
>>
>>107003084
They should make a linux distro that perfectly copies windows 11 and looks exactly like it and also runs all windows programs normally but without all the bad stuff and also with some cool things linux can do.
>>
>delete all code
>start from scratch
>make it like windows 7
>release it
>>
>>107003210
this but copying windows 7 or XP instead
>>
>>107003149
I know, if i want to copy to a protected folder as a sudo user it should prompt for a password, but instead it just does nothing. Then there are stupid workarounds like "open the tab in admin mode" if it even exists
>>
>>107003210
Can't because of patents
>>
>>107003223
Also a good idea.
>>107003252
Then they should do it illegally in the piracy way.

Windows has a rich ecosystem of malware, it blows Linux's selection out of the water.

Linuxfags are dogmatic fanatics, they'll refuse to copy anything better from Windows on principle because it's from Windows.

every distro should force users to login online before allowing them access to their computer

This is the exact thing that makes apple so juicy and epic games so epic.
Linux is so behind on paid apple premium features such as being able to install an application on "your" device after downloading it from your no-extensions-allowed apple firefox browser. For only 69 dollars, you can purchase your premium apple dev certificate code so that you don't have to manually renew your certificate on your mac to use all of your 3 apps on your iPhone.
If only Linux would introduce some basic microtransactions...
>>
>>107003084
nothing because wine exists so you can just do them on linux

Skill issue, faggot.
