Who is behind the rise in "technofeudalism" / "technomonarchy"?
>>
>>107005050
>sees liberalism as converging towards a (boring) totalitarian technocratic dystopia
>becomes a lobbyist for the tech industry to replace liberalism with a... totalitarian technocratic dystopia
this is the type of guy that dumb people consider smart. his only merit was maybe reading the winds and cynically deciding to side with the winners (although I doubt he's aware enough to see it that way), stroking the ego of our decadent overlords for a few breadcrumbs. he's just hustling people like thiel for free money, this shit was going to happen regardless of his shitty blog that nobody reads

but read the profile that magazine did of him, the guy is mentally 12

Nick Land should've won the right wing schizo wars. His early writings are genuinely good. But Yarvin was more astroturfed and that's all that it takes these days.

Also, it's fitting that my post ended in 68 as D&G, whom early Land quoted a lot, were associated with May 68.

Insane people who think the mode of production has changed just because of modernisation. The labour/capital division still underpins all fundamental production, and until that stops it's still capitalism.

Anyone telling you something else is trying to sell you something.

Land is a legitimate thinker which is why he never had a chance. Grifters like Moldbug who are willing to sell broken philosophy, telling people what they want to hear, are always going to come out on top.

It's the natural progress of socio-economic forces.
People assume that 'liberalism' or 'capitalism' are the default or things will get better from here, but the reality is that things like "voting rights" or "private property available to the masses" only occur when you reach a compromise stage where the land owning elite have to bargain with the non-land owning general public. The general public can chop the elite's heads off? Hey, let's compromise. The elite can spy on everyone and arrest any dissent the moment it starts? No point in compromising, you're a serf again.

true, and he fails even at the thing he was really trying to get at (critique of democracy) because of his convoluted way of thinking and arguing. There are several people, even in his intellectually parochial subculture, who make his point better than he does

Democracy and the free market are actually totalitarian slavery because some people rise to the top, especially those who invent things, and other people struggle, and people vote for laws and a prison system to exist.

Nick Land jerks off Yarvin constantly now. Almost all of Land's work over the last decade is just praising and deferring to Yarvin. It's actually embarrassing.

maybe because he knows more than you do bro

he likes yarvin specifically because his system is the "capitalismification" of politics, what is the best ideology? simply have many feudal states in non-aggression with eachother where the only fundamental right is emigration, and watch as nature (capitalism) selects for the best.
