I look like that. Can someone draw a little thinkpad sticking out of the bag?
>>
Mint is on the long list of distros that would rather you download the unofficial Chrome flatpak than the official Chrome deb. This matters more for Mint than other distros on account of their demographics. This is concerning.

what does unofficial chrome flatpak do better than firefox?

i do not want flatpaks unless its something nice
>>

That is even farther away from what I said than the other guy got.

imagine the smell
>>
>>107005513
no idea where you got that from considering Mint disables unverified flatpaks by default

So you'd rather add a Google repository to your PC than downloading a sandboxed version that can be updated and removed without even needing root?

I'd rather use a piece of software as compiled by its developers than some random MITM yes. That's part of why I use Windows.

Nobody has shared a computer with another person in like 20 years. Also xkcd 1200 yada yada.
>>
>>107006744
Different use case. Cachy is what you put on your high end gaming pc, mint is for your laptop fleet and random fucking around computers.

Mint is the meme distro, it's a distro for grandmas
>>
>>107006688
Chrome cannot be compiled unless it's by the developers. It's proprietary.

Also, Google could push updates to any package in your machine and break shit. It's asinine to stick with random deb files and random repositories when sandboxes packages work better.
>>
>>107005368
What did Mint win?
>>
>>107006892
fuck your sandbox bs, it doesn't work better at all it introduces tons of random shit ass issues
>>
>>107006898
second place on distrowatch behind CachyOS, the distro people should be using instead
>>
we can see here how natural the cachy shilling is on /g/

Maaaaaan, Anduin quickly went up to stand among the giants real fast! Too bad it's Uboonga-based.
