People have been saying this works, but does it really? It's a Microsoft partner after all...
It's a group policy editor. It's pretty trivial to check if it's working. Put more effort into your FUD.
>>107008118I'm so sorry of being distrustful towards things that seemingly pop out of nowhere to fix problems no one wants to have, yet everyone is subjected to. I must become a better man
>>107008141>seemingly pop out of nowhereyou mean from well-established companies that are 30 years old?
>>107008156Microsoft is a well established company
Why do people still bother with this tinkertranny OS when Linux just works out of the box?
>>107008814If Linux was like Windows but open source and without spyware, I'd use it. But it's not. It's a completely different system with different file extensions that requires emulators and other shit to make things work. You have to understand that the freedom of being able to use literally every single piece of software you see on the internet without thinking twice whether it's gonna work or not trumps Linux as is.
Is there some known Microsoft ip range i can just blacklist on my router?
>>107008141Dude this tool has been a thing for AGES
>>107008847Set up a separate subnet for the Windows machine, block all direct access to Internet on the router from it, set up a local proxy server, allowing only access to it and set up every application separately to use it. Do not use Windows global proxy settings, as these might get passed to the embedded malware.
>>107008141>You don't want to use this toolSo why is this a thread?
>>107008084If you read this comment the cancer has become terminal and no amount of copying and pasting will undo it.
>>107008865I only turned 18 last month. But you keep gatekeeping, unc
>>107008814>when Linux just works out of the box?Ah, a comedian!
>>107008841>You have to understand that the freedom of being able to use literally every single piece of software you see on the internet without thinking twice whether it's gonna work or not trumps Linux as is.I did not have this thought a single time in the last 2-3 years because everything just works. I don't even check for Linux compatibility before buying a game for over 50 bucks anymore because they all just work, and I did not have a single game in the last 2-3 years not work. You do realize that even niche programs ship with Linux installers on their website these days do you?
