What you guys think of venting websites such as this? How can this website be improved? What additional tech would you use?https://www.ventapp.chat/free-anonymous-chat
>>107009959Firstly, can you say the nigger word there?
>>107009959how do you prevent naughty wordsi like it though. discord used to be like this, when it first started. you could give someone a link to a room and they could chat instantly, assigned a guest username. able to register and tie the guest messages to an account if they wanted.
yes but may be frowned upon lol
is there an easy way to prevent naughty words?
>>107009995reply to posts by clicking No.107009973 <<<<<<<<<<<< >>107010003what are you doing now? the easiest is just using an LLM. but only for the first X amount of messages until they get a reputation score.
No.107009973 <<<<<<<<<<<<
>>107010003>is there an easy way to prevent naughty words?there are libraries which can do profanity screeningsome boil down to simple regex like https://github.com/snguyenthanh/better_profanity
do you mean where a user can eventually get a high reputation score and have moderator abilities?? thats a cool idea!
>>107010068why do u not like replying to posts? kek you remind me of another guy i gave advice to who wouldnt do it.yeah well a reputation score just means you dont trust a random user, but you allow them anonymity because youll just rate them. its how traditional forums worked and fought spam.you wouldnt be able to do things in succession without having to wait, or post links without being like 'tier 1-2' which just meant you had 20~ posts that werent trash and you were invested in the community.now for a chat app you dont want to implement it like that, but the same principle applies. timeouts for trying to spam/flood right away. so even an anonymous user (cookie based) can get some sort of authority/reputation/renown.
>>107009959use case for venting websites?
>>107010093dont usually use 4chn
>>107010127yeah you definitely need some rate limiting at the least. it was trivial to spam it just now, its unusual people will do that but still.
>>107010141yeah that will come in handy
>>107010099who is this character
>>107010203a very jacked and based developer
cute idea but kek you need to do some better checks on what your api accepts, when you pass it a different emoji it spams it full of replacement characters and if you pass it text it works fine
>>107010235ok try now if you are around.. fixed some of these issues
>>107009959Bring back showing how many people posting in the thread.
>>107010547just look at your logs to see what people sent to which api endpointsyou did keep logs i hope
>>107010574yes checking logs
ok more tweak done
>>107010793so? this looks better on account of the lowercase ps. ever since that one fucktard posted that picture of the google logo everyone and their mom has been ignoring their eyes in favor of lines on ms paint.
