What WiFi card? anyways just use USB tethering from your phone
>>
>>107011669
dude, for the love of god, never install this meme os and that's main reason, everything else has even basic network drivers
>>
>>107011669
if it doesn't have an ethernet port try using your phone via usb tethering to get internet for a while
that's what i did

>>
>>107011669

You're obviously accessing the web with anything else. Download drivers through that and bring them to your laptop with a USB flash drive, duh.

I just installed Mint on a jurassic laptop and everything just worked. Even my bluetooth headset that gave me a lot of trouble to get it working on Arch, just worked out of the box on Mint.
>>
buy a cheap usb>ethernet adapter to get you over this hurdle or find whatever package its missing and transfer it via usb or is that one of those macs without any ports on it?

>jurassic laptop
yeah, that's actually important. with Linux, older hardware has better chance of being supported out of the box, just because it's been around for longer and had a better chance of finding its way into the hands of some freetard that was willing to figure it out, create a patch for the linux kernel and have it mainlined. It's always the bleeding edge hardware that's unsupported on linux.

I'm ok with that as I'm not a coomsumer desperate to buy the latest corpo slop.

This is exactly where the Mint name comes from. It has been pre-tweaked into mint condition so you just use it and don't have to worry about anything.

Anything but work right? Linux is such a meme
