What is the holy grail of dumbphones then? And don't say some obscure phone from 1998. It needs to work on todays networks.

As other have mentioned, the name comes from CATterpillar. The company that made it is more known for making various construction machinery, uniforms, helmets etc. I suppose this too is more of a worker's phone - no frills but will survive falling into concrete mixer and can be used as a hammer in a pinch.

It's the future and given how this thing will cost like $50 to appeal to boomers you won't have a lot of space to play with.

4GB may not be enough for H264 and JPG but it's actually pretty usable with AV1 and AVIF.

Mive, Kyocera, 2014 Samsung flip phones
None of which use the same bands that American carriers do

Is the Uniheartz Titan really that bad?
>>
>>107013187
>Runs android "lite"
>dumbphone
No
>>
>>107013187
no, i daily use one and have for months now
the keypad barely works, you basically have to use a t9 keyboard manager app that lets you set a double click delay to avoid pressing the button "6" and getting "6666666"
without the CAT specific android install the orange button does nothing and you cant configure it with stock android 11 go that all of these ship with now
i keep running into:
>open the phone
>screen stays black
>keypad is illuminated
>lid screen is all white
>opening and closing the phone now does nothing for the next 30 seconds before it fixes itself

overall bad, avoid, its a shame because otherwise its actually a pretty good phone, audio quality is nice on both ends, the buttons feel good, it gets an absurdly long battery life and has swappable batteries that cost 10 bucks, this would be great if the keypad worked and the android install wasnt borked

Nokia 225 4g or TCL flip 20, you can even get the latter as prepaid. No gps, removable battery, no kaios slop
>>
>>107013187
Sonim, use Sonim. I've never owned a smartphone. Sonim is the only flipper that isn't a total piece of shit. Buy it direct from Sonim unlocked and then connect it once you get the phone in the mail. I have the XP3 which is a little bukly in the pocket. The XP100 looks badass.
>>
>>107014952
Oh, one last thing, be sure to match up the specs. don't just assume it will work with your carrier. But it will work with your carrier. If you can build your own desktop you can match up phone specs. Good luck anons!

I have same phone and I have literally no idea what you mean about pressing 6 giving 6666666. Also why would you change OS? The android that is installed works fine.
>>
>>107014558
>225
I have 235. Does 225 also come with useless preinstalled games that you can't play without paying for it?
>>
>>107014952
Does sonim have usb-c and headphone jack? And mp3 player?
