Instead of toasting your oven components and buying a new one every few years, just get a baking steel.And when I say "get a baking steel", I don't mean pay stupid money for one, I mean get a local laser cutter to make you a 5-7mm slab of mild steel to fit in your oven. Takes a while to heat up (I let mine pre-heat for 30 minutes), but you'll get a great crust just from maxing out your oven.
