>>107022368I like the new icons for the most part, I just wish they stopped using blue so much.
>>107022368I noticed, couldn't care really disliked them before already. If this ruins your day you deserve euthanasia. I think the small icon on the file manager looks worse
>>107022368>rounded corners on a document sheetThese "people" really have parental issues don't they?
>>107022506What are you even talking about schizo
an indian got paid half a million dollars at least for that
>>107022368the outlook one is an improvement, the rest of the are just redone to fit the new style
>>107022368Both of these are new icons
>>107022557Nah, it's not Indians that get the design jobs. It happens everywhere. Random redesigns to justify your job position.
>>107022368what's old is new and what's new is old
>>107022384>I like the new icons for the most part, I just wish they stopped using blue so much.If you look at it closer, you can see that all the icons are trending towards purple. Powerpoint has a purple dot in the middle, outlook has a purple fade on the top, Word has it in the upper left, etc.Give it 5 more years and all the icons will be purple-ish with only minimal green/blue/orange highlights.
>>107022506Soon it will all be round
>>107022368they're better now, yet still profoundly shit
>>107022368I don't mind them desu. They're a billion times better than metro flatshit
I HATE ROUNDED CORNERSI HATE ROUNDED CORNERS!!!!FUCK!!!!
>>107022368Why would it ruin my day? Office is Microsoft's not mine. I don't care what they do with the icons.
>>107022368>noo they rounded some corners by 10% on some pixels on my computerino>this is so terrible, how can I live with this now?grow up and then KYS yourself
>>107022368I’m more bothered by how they keep removing useful features
>>107022368>microshitThe icons should be the least of your concerns if you're using that garbage.
>>107022368it's an improvement, but the icons are mostly nonsense to me. the first one i see two people, the second an envelope, second to last a cloud... maybe, or a really stylised wave perhaps, last has a shield silhouetteas for w/x/p/n idk what those shapes represent
>>107023960You’re a 0 on the apple scale, aren’t you?
I miss the times where you could tell what a program did just by looking at its icon
>>107023989Uh-huh. What’s it do?
>>107024012could be a guy rushing to deliver something?
>>107024012he used to be holding an envelope but they mandela'd it, just like they try to pretend jeeves was always skinny before getting rid of him entirely
>>107022368The new ones look better, but of course /g/-tards (Redditors) will disagree because GNU/+Linux can't even render icons that complex without shitting itself.
>>107022384Outlook used to be yellow in the olden days
>>107022368>sharp corners are le bad
>>107022368At least it's not flatshit anymore
They killed the L in microsoft excel logo, just like in 2013 version.
>>107022368They sure don't make em' like they used to (and that's a bad thing)>>107022384This, you used to be able to discern the application just by the color of it's icon.
>>107026959
>>107022368You'll only be happy when they're pixelated and use 16 colors, won't you?I think they're nice.
>>107022368I don't like this new excel and powerpoint logo... The rest looks fine though. PowerPoint had a pie chart there, no pie chart looks like the new logo. And the new excel logo just has an unpleasant look to it, like green pillows with really wrong lightning, the shadows look so misplaced, I hate it so much
>>107022368This is only a small example of the same bigger phenomenon. Companies cheapen everything down until it's dull and lifeless so they can save more money. Then people and creators alike consume the products only to re create it in different forms because they're influenced by its overly simplistic features. This is the symptom of a negative collective psyche that comes with major economic downturns. You can call this "late stage capitalism" or some bullshit if you want, but it's not capitalism that is the problem. The problem is that we endlessly overoptimize everything to the point where everything is becoming shit. Too expensive to make new logos and do cool graphic design? Make it into some bauhaus shit. Don't wanna spend a couple more dollars on developing a product? Simplify the manufacturing process until it becomes unservicable when it breaks down. Our decision making abilities have worsened with every generation while the opportunities for creating new growth are lessened continuously because of our risk averse behavior.
>>107026986The H1-Bs have no idea of what they are doing. They just ask the AI to do all the work.
>>107026986do you think the others are wE, pL, and nF?
>>107023944im an adult with a serious job, i need officeif you pulled out your stinkpad and opened libreoffice you would be fired on the spot for being a joke
>>107022368Yeah, It almost ruined but I'm not a fucking jeet who cannot find his icon so it was, "Oh no, anyway" for me.
>>107029157Your retarded. Each version of excel logo has L in it except 2013 and 2023
>>107022368It's a step in the right direction. I fucking hated the swatch cardsI just wish the actual fucking OS had this much color. it feels like using fucking hospital or funeral software or something. it's so boring.
>>107029450thinking 2019 is an intentional one is peak wishcasting
>>107022368It is an improvement, if only slightly. At least they're understanding that flat looks gay.
>>107022368They all look the same to me.>inb4 some spazz points out some tiny detailstfu they're all the same
>>107023989???
>>107022368shits the same
>>107022368do you think Microsoft is doing this bullshit with the icons to avoid paying taxes or something like that?
>>107022368Forced soul
i don't dwell on frivolous things i have no control over
>>107022368Why is the Teams logo so fucking gay?
>>107022368who fucking cares about the icon, what sucks is actually having to use this piece of shit suite of applications.
