Do you think printers is something that we lost or is it still trivial to go and purchase them and the ink to print stuff any time you want?

And if not, were they thwarted by greedy ink suppliers?

yes you can just buy a laser printer and it will run cheap without any problems

it's only inkjets that are a scam and have put people off of printers now that they're not really a hard requirement for anything anymore

I've got a b&w xerox laser printer and it works fine. Never really had issues with it.
If you want more you can start getting into trouble. My mom has a color printer for work and she's gone through several because she kept having issues with them.

inkjets are only useful for physical photos and posters. If you want to make posters you need a massive fucking inkjet and you might as well just place an order at a local printshop. Laser printers have awful color printing so just stick to B&W ones.

I have an hp1102w and its support is so dogshit that the printer drivers can't be installed on modern Macs, and they aren't included in Windows by default. I should probably get a new one but the toner cartridge has lasted 8 years at this point and I don't really print that much. I know it'll bite me in the ass just as I need something urgently but whatever

how are your toner carts that expensive, anyways? Ecotanks are fine but the printer itself is expensive
