YouTube finally did something good with AI.Rather than having to waste my time on stupid 1-hour and 18 minute drivel about a topic I might want to know the answer to out of curiosity, if I did want to know the answer in the video I can finally get a damn list to just quickly glance through in 2 minutes or less and then move on with my day with much better things to do.Fuck all of your slop channels with your 50-minute+ "Video Essays". I am glad AI is going to cut into your ad revenue, your "Sponsored Segments", and everything in between.I saved 1 hour and 14 minutes, also accounting for the 2 minutes spent to write this post.
>More productive AI slopdon't care, unhook + ublock blocks it all. LLM notebooks are like 2yo and guess what, your watch later playlist still will be hundreds of videos
>>107030092very bharatphobic comment saarpls be deleting this kindly
>>107030092>your watch later playlist still will be hundreds of videosI remove those after I finished watching them.
>>107029974It doesn't appear on my end, is there a dedicated button for it? Maybe I accidentally blocked it while blocking all the other bloat.
>>107030648This button right here. Try it with any video longer than a few minutes, I don't know the exact criteria for when it shows up, but also don't do it with a video that was posted like 3 minutes ago, try a day or order.
>>107030648>>107030666>or orderolder*
>looking fon answers in youtube videosjust use a web search
>>107030666Yeah, I think I saw the button on certain videos. It's definitely not available on all of them, though. Maybe the video's age is the only criteria, but I can't say for sure. Thanks, Satan!
>>107029974>im interested enough in this topic to want more information on it>but not interested enough to watch an hour long video.>so i will instead ask an AI to try and summarize it>no i dont care that the AI is shit at that shut up.well enjoy being wrong, i guess.
>>107030698I clicked the timestamps at random to confirm if it was accurate. It was.
>>107030714But what if the time comes and it starts hallucinating? These trillion dollar POS can't even do the math properly.
>>107029974they are actually working on a LLM that you let control your inputs. It's only a web based google rsearch app for now and it's not that good but you know the story.
>>107030743>that you let control your input???? Like it does the searching for me? Isn't that just a combination of "Recommended ____" + "I'm Feeling Lucky"?
>>107030743how fucking retarded do you have to be that you need to rely on an AI to google stuff for you?
>>107029974Sounds nice, I've been just copy pasting the transcript to a separate llm to generate a summary. This change makes it slightly easier
>>107030786Google sucks. Now that they've weighted all the results based on special interests, what you get looks more like a hundred years of tax code carveouts than an optimized search algorithm. AI genuinely does better at parsing results more quickly than I can do it a lot of the time.
