How realistic is this?
>>
>>107031264
Depends entirely on how much shit normies are willing to eat up
>>
>>107031264
We have the technology
And maybe it's being used already
It just doesn't tell you (yet) lol
Like those self service scanners in grocery stores that have a selfie cam (because they're basically an android phone) on it which COULD read your expression every time you scan something or just all the time but the company that runs them says they don't (at the moment)
>>
>>107031264
russian video hosting rutube had something like that. you watched an ad and then it asked you what product/brand it was, if your answer was wrong you had to watch the ad again.
they pulled it off quickly due to negative backlash.
>>
iPhone definitely has the hardware for it but I don't know if applications have API access.
>>
>>107031264
What idiot has their camera exposed 24/7 LOL
Darwinism @ its finest, should be federal law for mainstream electronics manufacturers to put a hardware kill switch on their devices. Otherwise your constitutional rights are being illegally fucked with
STAND UP FOR SOMETHING
Let the sheep walk over the cliff, they don't know any better
The rest of us will be survivalist experts the only real way to make it out alive in this world and thrive as an individual
Otherwise you gotta give up your autonomy to some other sick peeping Tom cunt

oy vey the antisemitism board is /pol/
>>
>>107031264
I'd just stop using whatever that demanded it.

Piracy will solve this.

So actively, publicly resist it, or let it rot? You gotta choose one there, Survivalist Marine
>>
>>107031264
very, advertisement industry is most dystopian
>>
>>107031264
>How realistic is this?
Very just wait a little more. I've seen browser adds on desktop computers requiring you to have to have the tab active for the add to run or you stay locked out. The fact that apps requires to be active on the screen to run is kind of the same.
>>
>>107032315
>adds
Why anon
Why did you see the word ad manifesting on your screen with just two keystrokes but you decided to add another d?
I MUST KNOW!
>>
>>107031517
Why are you anti-Cinematic, anon?
>>
>>107032013
Meaning you'll pay to remove ads.
>>
>>107031291
So they'll do it in a few years, fuckin hell :/
>>
>>107031291
Coming in 2027, confirmed
>>
>>107031264
Who the fuck would tolerate this kind of ad? People don't even like ads in the middle of streams and the only reason why ads are typically tolerated is you're allowed to do other shit while they play. We've hit ad saturation and anything more intrusive is going to be break normies.
>>
>>107032315
The only sites that have ads like this are scam sites for shady links.

very realistic, but I will not be affected since I will simply continue not seeing ads on youtube
>>
>>107031264
not at all, for several years now they have been walking on ice and this would be way too blatant

the normies don't actually understand privacy or technology but they have a deep instinct to hate things, and there were lots of privacy scandals and so on that gave them a good chance for it. the surveillance economy and so on is a great narrative, every time google chips away at your freedoms it makes very good clickbait news and the public opinion turns a little bit further against big companies and so on. so they are choosing their battles very carefully, and thing would cause way more problems than benefits

some things that they could do but choose not to:
>OP pic
>unblockable ads in any video media, splicing them in the video stream serverside
>hard IP based IDs that identify you independently of cookies, login, browser fingerprint, whatever. the ISP tells them your IP, there's nothing you can do (actually, many websites are doing this)
>monitor your camera and mic to get data about you and serve behavioral ads (actually some are already doing this with alexa for example, but my point is that they could do it clientside on any device)
>follow you around with cctv to serve ads when a good chance appears (like push notifications to your phone when you stop in front of a store, or to your earbuds etc)
>follow you around with micro drones to serve ads when a good chance appears (like push notifications to your phone when you stop in front of a store, or to your earbuds etc)
>follow you around with gps data to serve ads when a good chance appears (like push notifications to your phone when you stop in front of a store, or to your earbuds etc)
>>
It's interesting that, if they go too far, the public will push back and eventually digital ads will be banned, and the whole business will die. but if they don't go far enough, someone else will and they will lose market share

so it's similar to the tragedy of the commons, but the players know it so they plan for the future, they squeeze out the most they can without breaking the market
>>
>>107031517
>What idiot has their camera exposed 24/7 LOL
Don't play this stupid game. If you have a phone period then you've already voluntarily surrendered all privacy. Your location and all audio is being tracked and recoded 24/7 but oh no, they might not get videos of your face as you scroll 4chan! You've already lost.

>nooo you don't understand, i covered up the camera so i'm totally private now
>>
>>107031264

if you decide that you must perform it is humiliation ritual after another and they got you from the beginning
>>
>>107031264
i dont use ads on youtube so idk
>>
>>107036089

it is not like that you somehow got working product and you can add stuff like black tape to cameras and glue spot to microphone and glue to speakers if you want

someone takes your phone and this causes problems too bad for them
>>
>>107031264
If that happens I'll just listen to local AI generated music and watch local AI generated movies for entertainment.
Probably cancel my internet subscription.
>>
>seeing ads
Not realistic at all, at least for me ;)
>>
Its sad that this endlessly recycled bait still gets replies
>>
>>107036518
You entirely missed the point of the image.
>>
>>107031264
it already exists on some sites but it "prices out" too many users for the gains to make up
watching ads before content is a type of queue and the notion of "balking" is already well-established in queue management
>>
>>107036089
>and all audio is being tracked and recoded 24/7
prove it

You can desolder cameras and microphones easily.
>b-but then I can't make any phone calls!
Use a bluetooth microphone.
>>
>>107031264
I 100% believe this will be a thing if not already, specially when digital ID is forced in fagman websites all around the world, not only in pirateland
>>
>>107031517
>please enable your camera to continue
>>
>>107037205
>your phone is not compatible with youtube.com, please upgrade your hardware to continue

or

>unable to find camera, contact service (single exit button)

I have 0 hope for technology t.b.h

There isn't anything they won't tolerate or submit to. Things will only get worse.
>>
>>107036714
The desire and capability is there, and money to be made. Nigger cattle don't care. It's that simple.
>>
>>107036956
Why should I trust someone who can't even install Steam?
>>
>>107036956
If websites didn't become quite literally unusable unless you don't use an adblocker, literally no single individual would need to use them.
Hell, look at his company's videos, if you install the sponsorblock addon you can literally shave like 3 or 4 minutes of ads and lttstore plugs from the video.
>>
>>107031264
1) I use Brave so I don't see ads on youtube
2) I have tape on my front camera and won't remove it

Yeah it's realistic for retards that still watch ads in 2025.
I don't care.
>>
>>107032315
A lot of those old shady-ass download sites from back in the day had wait countdowns for "guests" that wouldn't tick down unless it was the active window. It's nothing new.
