Hardinfo is the only thing that comes close on linux, but it doesn't show your real time clock speed. I do like that hardinfo at least comes with a full system benchmark.

Admit it, anon. there are no good download managers for Linux. All alternatives are either discontinued or lack key features like a working file grabber.

ReWASD, I don't think linux has anything this good of a remapper. Especially one that fires up per each application rather than making a global remap. Also, for programming macros, like that absurd Ivy Combo on the Soul Calibur series.
I think the best Linux has for this is input-mapper, which is global and is clunky as fuck

This is the first time I am hearing this particular complaint, as far as I am concerned it it's not particularly prone to crashes any more than other software of similar complexity. And even so at least it does the job of FINDING THE FUCKING FILE YOU WERE LOOKING FOR and do it fast, which is more than can be said about... basically anything else.

Unless you start typing the god damn name of the file and then it crashes and closes halfway through typing it because of buggy code or whatever.

The problem with the crashing got so bad that I eventually had to use the 1.5a version in order for the app not to crash immediately when starting to type a file name.
1.5a is serviceable, but it also crashes when trying to find certain files.

Cause of the history of Linux being used by sweaty nerds who are very familiar with the command line (and the fact that Linux has a decent shell unlike CMD (power shell is okay, but few people know how to use it)), and so they do all of this sort of stuff using the terminal and built-in, free applications. In my experience it’s more flexible (you can pipe in new names, run file names through a script to generate new names, e.t.c.), but the learning curve is higher and it presupposes knowledge of the various commands used.

Because of this, there’s a pretty limited number of people interested in GUI driven programs for this sort of thing, power users have tended to just use the terminal
>>
>>107037106

RawWrite
http://www.chrysocome.net/rawwrite
It fulfills an extremely specific need in my arsenal of miscellaneous utilities, that being writing disk images to floppy disks, both 5.25" and 3.5" ones. It actually more reliably writes images to disks than the piece of shit called WinImage that everyone on Vogons shills like crazy. And RawWrite actually fucking works like a charm with this cheap USB 3.5" drive I bought decades ago. WinImage really doesn't like anything that isn't fixed in my experience. And WinImage spits errors all the time saying a disk is bad and fails to write the images when they're good disks that format with Windows 10's default shell just fine with no bad sectors. But RawWrite actually fucking works most of the time, and it's made getting my old rigs working again so much less of a headache.

I use VS mostly for C++ and C#.
For C# I know there's Rider which many people seem to like. Anything for C++?
For Python, powershell and general scripting (deployment pipelines and shit) I've switched fully to VScode, but I haven't tried the C#/C++ experience yet. I'm assuming VScode on linux is similar to windows so it might be a decent alternative.
For debugging (especially C++) I don't know of anything that rivals VS though.

Jumping in late to shill for notepad++. Yes the dev are insufferable retards. I'm worried they'll lock it someday in spite or because their meds ran out.
A main thing for me is the shortcuts for moving text around, like moving one row up or down. Multi line editing. Also regex search and replace. And marking and copying lines where certain text exists. Nothing on Windows competes, and I'd like to hear Linux equivalents that aren't just emulating Windows software.
