DeepSeek R1 0528 is still among the models with the highest pure intelligence value in STEM. The 6 months old DeepSeek model is literally ahead of Claude 4.5. Thats why DS shifted to other models. R1 is literally the most you can get out of transformer LLMs. This is not about agentic use at which R1 is miserable (and the concept wasnt a thing at the time anyway).

I don't think anyone has access to deepseek's actual training data but I highly doubt they excluded their own dataset from the high flyer days. It also outperforms other models in stock trading simulations
