I mean this with the best of intentions... I graduated in 2021 with a CS degree and have been unable to find a job.

What do you do in this situation? I don't know what to do.
My parents are very supportive and god bless them, but my patience/sanity is being tested.
I did everything mostly right and now I've been punished because truth be told, I can't code any better than some AI chatbot.

I'm just spent... and I don't even do shit. I just want to crawl into a ball.
My parents thought I was going to be some wonder kid because I could use Windows XP, yet here I am, 27 and jobless.
>>
I can feel the depression through my screen. I wish I had advice other than the fact you're not alone.

just be yourself bro :)
>>
You can either aim for a certificate in something more specific than just a CS degree like cybersecurity, machine learning, etc.
Or just change career paths. Either works.
>>
>>107039481
did you do any internships?
>>
'18 here and ditto. Amuses me seeing all the faggots saying how that was the good old days as it was a total fucking mystery what a CS BS was good for income wise. These days I draw AutismBux and marvel at how things could possibly be any harder than they were years ago..I mean it was all predicated on luck, connections, being good at performance art clown show and related to someone and bullshit "experience". Oversocialized normies were getting jobs back then and now the only difference is those faggots are out in the cold now thanks to jeets and AI - excuse me while I get the popcorn.

>>107039481
Well I'm sure you don't want a pity party, do you use an application you made everyday? What are your projects?
>>
>>107039481
>have been unable to find a job.
A CS related job? Or a job in general?
>>
>>107040130
Are you fucking retarded? Does OP sound like he's applying for truck driver after graduating CS? I swear, the people on this board...
>>

I graduated college with a degree in Communications in 2014 and moved straight to international relations for my Masters hoping to become a politics journalist one day. It never happened so I found a job working with accounts payable guys because I was good at computers and the customer they worked with at some big corp needed someone who speaks another language. I used that as my springboard to security engineering and switched jobs just a year later. I didn’t just finished my Masters that year and got my first certification done. I was already 28 years old. However, it really felt soul crushing to search for a job. I had to ask a friend for help in getting myself in first so he made me a reference on their internal board. And yet, I was lucky I got a manager who was ready to give me a chance. He told me that people in the sphere tend to be very judgmental. You might have a stellar CV but it’s the impression at an interview that will have a lasting impact. Since then I had changed jobs several times and all interviews have been over Zoom. Calls just work much better and you are in control of things. The most important part is to keep looking. If you can’t find anything, use whatever leverage you can get - friends from college., relatives, AI tools. Anything. The worst part is giving up. Don’t let that happen.

Nepotism is now the only way to rise the ranks or get opportunities sadly.
>>
>>107039481
Are you socially likeable? I find that's at least 50% of the battle when trying to get hired somewhere.
>>

>Does OP sound like he's applying for truck driver after graduating CS?
Not permanently, retard. If he was a truck driver he should still be applying for CS related roles. It's better than 4 years of unemployment which looks awful to a hiring manager.

>I did everything mostly right
clearly not
McDonald's is an option
security jobs at night are often available because a lot of people don't want to work graveyard shift and the bar to entry is low, basically being fairly normal and able to pass a basic background check
if you're a wombman or a twinky guy, you might be able to sell your nudes on OF, but that's not reliable and there's a lot of competition
you could literally sell your [p/b]ussy, but that's risky for all kinds of reasons
i'd suggest getting into a programming niche (embedded, high performance, asm, etc.), but if you can't code better than the retarded LLMs available, you don't have the chops
maybe you could visit the local bus stations and suck cocks for $5? 20 cocks a day would be $3000/mo, tax free
gluck gluck, anon

Life is only going to get harder, a lot harder. Nuclear war, famine, civilization collapse. You should prepare learning valuable survival skills, learning how to repair stuff, etc.

kek how do you not have a job since 2021?? I graduated in 2021 too and started immediately. I got a promotion as a senior software engineer only a couple of months ago after 4 years of experience. I'd kms if I were you.
>>
>>107039481
I can feel you, tell me what languages and framework can you actually code in. Dont worry about proficiency . Just name them for now
>>
what is with these thumbnail posting bots recently?
>>
>>107039481
>I can't code any better than some AI chatbot.
>What do you do in this situation? I don't know what to do.
Find a job unrelated to computers.
>>
>>107039481
You graduated during the hiring frenzy and still couldn't get a job? You must fucking suck.
>>
>>107040372
This. It was so easy to get hired in 2021. Our company hired lots of incompetents and then had to let some of them go.
>>
>>107040344
retarded happooner
>>
>>107039481
damn nigga im in the same situation, although I graduated later
all I could find was an internship year ago, where people were surprised i can't find actual job. didn't hire me though because they had too many people already and everyone was glued to their chair as in every it job
as time goes on there are less and less job offerings for people with less than 2 year experience
>>
>>107039481
Try uber, prostitution, webcamming, drug dealing and if that fails it support.
>>
Consider a career change. It's over for the little IT guy. Everyone got outsourced, and the cloud took over locally hosted/managed servers.

I do feel for you, but my feels can't help you make money or find purpose.
>>
>>107040298
For some reason, a lot of Americans seem to be completely oblivious to this ebin secret life hack lol
>>
>>107039481
> graduated in 2021
> have the knowledge to make things
> 4 years to build projects
> didn't make anything
> waits for someone to save him
> cries AI is better than him
Either you have imagination and determination to make something, or you don't.
>>
>>107039481
eat a slice of humble pie and apply to become a security guard, landscaper, burger flipper, retail clerk, delivery driver, etc.
if you like gay sex you can become a military officer
>>
>>107039481
>unable to find a job.
i watched indians flood my industry and lower the pay to the point where it's not even worth continuing. you are not alone, but if you can code build websites and make money. who needs a job?
>>
>>107046042
It's just bullshit that some assholes get to make 300k with a lousy CS degree while others flip burgers because of nepotism, "networking" connections bs, and mostly pure luck. For a field based on algorithms, ironically there is no finite effective procedure that terminates predictably in employment in a methodical rule based scheme like, say, nursing where there is clear path to employment rather then being left with your dick in your hand.
>>
>>107039481
buy a gun and shoot up a hindu temple, should open up a few positions
>>
>>107039481
>have been unable to find a job
are you actively looking for jobs?
>>
>>107039481
>I can't code any better than some AI chatbot.
What the fuck were you doing in these 4 years at college?

Survival skills wont save you against the drones Peter Thiel and Palmer Luckey will send to exterminate the useless eaters like you and me.
