What's their problem?
I have six drives connected and I had to replace four cables for the last five years. Eventually ultra dma crc counter starts to grow, drives become slow or not recognized. The motherboard was manufactured about three years ago.

let me guess, shintel

Can't say I've really had issues.
I pretty much exclusively use the cables made from the same type of cable as SAS, mostly because they are super thin.
Do you know what controller those drives are connected to?

Intel SATA is usually pretty reliable. Is the Asmedia garbage that's always suspect.

if your drive unfortunately has a slightly-too-thin interface from factory, they don't seat nicely
like the super early consumer SSDs

No. You think it could be a controller? But replacing a cable solves the problem.

I have few hdds too.

Other than something like physical strain from being bent too hard there is not much else that could go wrong.
IDK how the system is used or how it was diagnosed that it's the cables.

I'm asking did you actually cold restart to confirm it's the cables before touching them?
CRC errors could come from a bad controller and drives dropped from a bad controller can often come back with a cold boot.
Replacing the cables might be of little consequence compared to the cold boot from you turning off the system to replace them.

SATA cables are a dime a dozen but if your still having issues then it's something else.

Yes, but just restarting, not turning off and on.

I've never ever had to replace one of those cables. Have you tried switching manufacturers or buying replacements from a different place? Sounds like you keep getting cables from the same crappy batch.
