Yes, have had issues both on linux and Windows but on linux more (but that's because I was using librewolf which is a meme, I switched).
The reason I replied is mozilla recently started adding support in firefox nightly for things I thought would have been in firefox for long time.

You should not use firefox. At least get librewolf, it's about 10% better. If you are on troonix, flatpak is the way to go unfortunately.

you didnt say what you were doing, but whatever. im using icecat (have been for 2ish years now) with a dozen or so addons. i just tried opening an mkv in my browser and it played no problem so im not sure whats going on. can you link a site where the videos dont play? id love to take a look
