Tbh brew is not a bad package manager. Its decent enough its the web devs choice. I think if has vidual studio and resharper so it can be used for c work too.

The only reason I use macOS at this point is as a gimmick. I can't do anything serious with it and once the Intel Macs lose support next year I'm done with the OS too. There's no way I'm using a Mac that can't have a second OS installed alongside it.
