11.11 sale already started on Hifigo. Good thing if you're in Europe, you don't have to pay any duties or taxes (unlike when buying from Aliexpress).

I'm looking for new wired earbuds, budget preferably under 100 and also available on amazon ideally. I've actually been using the oldschool apple earbuds for the simple reason of comfort, I can wear them all day and not be bothered at all. I value comfort more than sound quality, as long as the sound isn't too bad. When I actually care about sound quality I can use my full sized cans. Any rec's aside from the stuff in the OP? Thanks in advance m8's.

got a question if anyone knows

I am looking at getting a pair of space travel 2/ultra/golden age 2

my understanding is ultra is marginally better than 2 due to a higher end codec support but overall they basically sound the same and with an eq probably indistinguishable outside of that codec

golden age 2 have the feature set of space travel 2 ultra, but with a bumped out button design so you never miss hit, and I think a few more codecs, in all honesty, they will likely make new iems before I would be able to take advantage of the extra ones.

so thats about where I am at, if there any quality in terms of sound the speakers produce or is it just a difference of codec and I think some special audio stuff, not sure it matters at all.

there are 2 reasons I want these over my current space travels

1) custom eq, I could set these to be the perfect volume and the right amount of bass for me, If I could get them even close to my dusks with eq, would be perfect

2) pairing with 2 devices at once, which should let me keep it paired to my computer, pause audio there and then play whatever on my tablet, and not need to deal with trying to get the click and hold just right, or getting up to unpair and repair.

anyone able to help with this?
>>
>>107064916
yes your 2 reasons are valid.
devices supports those codecs is not a given. you know your devices do?
i'd just stick to ST2, simple and economical. the same cheap plastic build used at exponentially higher costs is offensive. sound from the ST2 is good enough for casual wireless use
>>
>>107064916
and no, codecs don't matter that much, for a whole list of reasons. one reason being there is a trade-off of bitrate versus stability/range. you sound like you want to (reasonably so) be moving around pretty freely between different devices that may be some distance from you. you're not going to be able to listen to forced-highest-res LDAC like that anyways. you'll experience drop-outs because the stable range is short. so you'll be on some lower bitrate like aptx adaptive or w/e anyways in your realistic use scenarios, and your music will still sound fine.

the pinball wizard mix sounds super fucked, no idea what happened there but I would source another one
>>
>>107064465
all IEMs have shit treble, noeq newfriend
>>
>>107064974
tablet likely supports the higher end codec over the base space travel 2, pc bluetooth died and I have to fallback on a 4.2 dongle from linksys as it was the only one that used a higher than absolute minimum codec...

I half consider getting a dongle that would do higher end audio codecs but they only do audio and I need to connect bluetooth devices... I could get an add in card and just be done with it but really don't want to deal with that because of the nightmares I had in the past with pci devices causing issues and incompatibility along with lane bifurcation in ways I didn't intend. and because it has been brought up before, my motherboard makes it as painful as possible to replace the onboard wireless card so that's a non starter.

and yea i'm kinda leaning toward the st2 just because, while the ga2 have features I would like and may be fun to try, buy the time I can take full advantage of them a newer set that likely shits on these will be out.

my only hold over is if goldenage 2 sounds better with codecs being the same. and at that point better enough an eq wouldn't touch it?

>>107065038
yea, basically whole house is covered by I think a2dp, its been awhile since I went down this rabbit hole of dongles and codecs, basement has cutouts on the far end, but I can set my tablet up in the center and use it for audio down there, ideally I may get a watch that has onboard storage and bluetooth for audio when exercising, but that's a future me problem and a massive if, I really like my amazefits pai number as a gamification of exercising, I was looking at oneplus 2r a while back, apparently they put out a 3...

>TRUe to THe EAR
>>
>>107065702
what tips are those? and how is the comfort?
I've got the pures but i find them to be a little uncomfortable after a few hours
>>
>>107065736
the cheapest triple flanges from amazon, the ones I bought was from OTOTEC, but I think it's just one of many OEMs
it's quite comfy actually, the worst part is putting them in, the rest is a breeze
>>
>>107065368
it took you over 30 different pos to find out you're deaf. what's new? just eq out your tinnitus
>>
>>107065489
>Is it JM-1 target or not JM-1 target?
nobody said it's not
>>
>>107065901
so is jm-1 a preference target or not?
>>
>>107065990
you make it one by eqing to your taste or being a dumbass treating it like one, raw, as is. so, no.
>>
Which generic silicone tips should I buy?
The one that came with my old Sennheiser CX300S were perfect, all other materials simply do not do it for my ears.
Are there even some generic enough?
>>
I just installed RockBox on my H2, but it doesn't see anything in the Music folder - has anyone else seen something similar and managed to figure it out?

The folder is at the root, next to the .rockbox folder and I've tried to reinitialize the DB multiple times and reinstalled the .rockbox.
>>
>>107065630
they work well for me but then again most tips do. you can get them for near free anyway
>>
>>107066554
Fair enough, noble sets are bit more expensive but regular ones yeah.
>>
Just got the EQZ Q1 Pro and honestly, its meh. I bought it for gaming and it does the job but for music my marshal IIIs is way more 'fun' and my previous beyer 990 pros is way better. Ofc, completely different price point.

BUT i do like how it fits in my ear so will look for another pair. Do i need to go to $100 price point for it to beat my previous headphones?
>>
>>107066981
No the q1pro is just ass

what exactly are you missing? better imaging cues like where footsteps are coming from, etc.? you won't have to spend much, but TKZK Ouranos should be better for you in that regard than the EPZ. you'll get really good imaging and soundstage for gaming without spending top dollar, something the Q1 Pro doesn't have going for it.
>>
>>107066981
just EQ dumbass
>>
>>107066981
Lol you about to offend half a thread with this one
>>
>>107067187
God dammit. A lot of youtubers said it was good, i know subjective blabla.
>>107067206
No i said for gaming (CS2) they seem to be fine. Sure, the dt990 pro was excellent but been gaming with the marshall III and they have not been the best for footsteps.

I will grab another pair of cheap ones. What to get after this failure?
>>
>>107067249
I refuse to EQ, thats for poor people. (YOU).
>>
Did China make anything better than the Tangzu Wan'er yet? Last I checked it was still the king of low THD.
>>
>>107067311
Gate or bunny if you want more neutral, ew300 for more bass
>>
>>107067325
If waner is low thd then by all means give me the highest THD pos.
>>
>>107067354
Flatheads.

>>107067354
>If waner is low thd then by all means give me the highest THD pos.
What did you not like about them? (that couldn't be EQ'd within seconds, of course)
My complaint would be the fit, considering trying out the Truthear Gate to see if they're any better in that regard.
>>
>>107067379
Clip style tws are even worse. Almost as bad as BA pos.
>>
>>107067339
Bunny it is i guess

Searched outside of this shitty board, found Musicolet, installed it, it actually looks just like what I needed from initial glances. Very straightforward, down to earth and effective app. Hopefully the initial impression remains correct.

>cheapest offering amongst the streamers
>doesn't require you to be a faggot and dl shit on red
only reason not to use it is because you're a poorfag. if you need EQ or some shit just use wavelet.

remember to EQ before you go deaf folks

remember, graphschizos do not have good enough hearing to be annoyed by treble sparkle and they are sparkling out their hearing, don't be like the last 3 retards who literally lost their hearing

nigga sample rate is audio frames, aka time domain. like fps. fucking jeets i swear. spoiler alert you can hear this for yourself by getting a NOS and comparing 44.1 and upsampled
>>
>>107067311
>marshall III
I can guarantee you, that overpriced piece of shit won't give you $300 worth of sound in a headphone. anything Marshall does outside of guitar amps is a gimmick, frankly.

musicolet is very solid and has been brought up here before scarcely. great music app.

Aful Explorer. When you EQ, you want something that is smooth in the treble without any peaks. This makes things a lot easier.
