Hi guys, im a crypto trader by profession and need to know whether i should use linux inside a VM on my macbook pro or if using the mac with an hw wallet is fine. I have lockdown mode, sip, firewall, filevault etc already enabled but im still scared due to so many hacks these days. I know most hacks are social engineering based but im still scared. I understand i could get qubes os but it feels too complex for a smol brain like me. Chatgpt tells me the VM on a mac is a bad idea but i think this way is the closest i can get to qubes os like security. Thanks

You probably don't need that much security if you aren't being a retard. But you are a crypto trader so yeah go ahead, install the schizo distro on a VM to play with your online trading cards

actually last night I put a VM on my old 2017 macbook and used Debian. never used linux or a VM before. too soon to say how it is, but it was pretty simple and worked just fine. After i get more familiar i will add one to my main computer.
