i built my own linux distro, now i want to distribute it, how do i create an iso file like arch which provides a shell environment. i researched all over and got some ways, but if there are any experienced folks, please suggest me a good way.

iso is basically your running system, being packaged
when it boots, it loads the bootloader until it reaches tty (the shell)
>>
>>107070066
the bootloader loads linux kernel and initrd
initrd is your script, where you setup everything until it reaches tty
>>
ok can i install arch set it up and everything and then image that drive so i may restore the image later?
>>

those packages are usually extracted and then placed in an mountable images, placed inside the iso
then when the iso boots it mounts those images into memory, iso installer is meant to be read-only
