What's the best script manager for a manly man such as myself?Should I switch to FireMonkey?
>>107073144i use violent because im a psychotic badassfiremonkey icon looks like he has down syndromeyou should make your choice based on this info and not technical differences
I imagine they're all API compatible so the only difference would be in implementation.I'd need to see some benchmarks or claims before switching.

>>107073156>>107073179i also love watching BMT
Gave FireMonkey a try.Is anyone using it with 4chan XT? Works fine for me in Violentmonkey.
>>107073214Brooklyn Manhattan Transit?
>>107073277Works on my tampermonke
>>107073144I tried switching to firemonkey a few times over the years but 4chanX didn't work well. I haven't tried in at least a year so maybe it works now. If I remember correctly it's supposed to be better because it uses a newer api to load userscripts that firefox introduced years ago.Violentmonkey made me lose a week of work on a userscript I was writing myself because it corrupted its own database out of nowhere and I couldn't recover anything because apparently the devs don't know where their extension saves its database (their words when I asked on github). I tried manually inspecting some files at random but gave up after a while.I've been using tampermonkey ever since, it's been years and it never had an issue.

>>107073314>I tried switching to firemonkey a few times over the yearsWhy?
>>107073516I was attracted by the new api thing and the fact that it can do userscripts but also css themes. It would have been nice to have a single extension instead of whatever monkey + stylus.
>>107073307tampermonkey isn't open sourceviolentmonkey is and is also more feature complete, meaning more scripts will work correctly
>>107073563nta, I love the separation between "just css" (stylus) and js+css (*monkey)I also have a few global or semi-global stylus themes
>>107073144firefox: violentmonkeychrome: scriptcat
>>107073595>not le open soresCan you call an apple an apple? It's called proprietary malware. Malware that attacks your freedoms and your humanity.
>>107073646>scriptcat>apparently written by moonrune cultistsI grew up in the 90s and have been taught to never trust the Chinese.
>>107073712since the violentmonkey people refuse to update it for mv3 there isn't a good and open-source one left when I last checked
>>107073595First point is true, second is a bunch of bullshit.
>>107073691Bleh, most open source projects don't distribute deterministic builds, so they're only open source for marketing purposes. Especially your shitty browser.
They should make a fork of violentmonkey called NiggerMonkey. It would work the exact same since violent is already perfect. The only difference is the name and icon, which itself would be a monochrome blackface cartoon. Oh, wait, it would also filter all userscripts not in english without giving you the option to see them.
>>107073712what does trusting the chinese have to do with growing up in the 90s

>>107073277ive got everything on firemonkey except the pedo extension and 4chan x
>>1070748124ChanX still isn't working? That's disappointing.
>>107074832That's what the screenshot in >>107073277 shows.
>>107073144>Should I switch to FireMonkey?I tried using FireMonkey a long time ago. For some reason, almost none of the scripts I had installed werkd. I don't remember there being anything like logs at the time to check what exactly the problem was, so I just deleted it and came back to ViolentMonkey. Maybe they fixed it, if so, go ahead with FM.
>>107074885That's XT though, so I still had hope for X.
>>107073770Is there really no better alternative on Chrome? It has about 3 times as many extensions as Firefox, including script managers.
>>107073840Wiggers still think they're superior when BBC is all they can think about all day while shitposting from their trailer home.
>>107076752>It has about 3 times as many extensions as FirefoxMy schizo mind is convinced that 60% of Chrome extensions are malware.
