What's the best script manager for a manly man such as myself?
Should I switch to FireMonkey?
>>

i use violent because im a psychotic badass
firemonkey icon looks like he has down syndrome
you should make your choice based on this info and not technical differences
>>
I imagine they're all API compatible so the only difference would be in implementation.
I'd need to see some benchmarks or claims before switching.

Gave FireMonkey a try.
Is anyone using it with 4chan XT? Works fine for me in Violentmonkey.

Works on my tampermonke

I tried switching to firemonkey a few times over the years but 4chanX didn't work well. I haven't tried in at least a year so maybe it works now. If I remember correctly it's supposed to be better because it uses a newer api to load userscripts that firefox introduced years ago.
Violentmonkey made me lose a week of work on a userscript I was writing myself because it corrupted its own database out of nowhere and I couldn't recover anything because apparently the devs don't know where their extension saves its database (their words when I asked on github). I tried manually inspecting some files at random but gave up after a while.
I've been using tampermonkey ever since, it's been years and it never had an issue.

>I tried switching to firemonkey a few times over the years
Why?
>>
>>107073516
I was attracted by the new api thing and the fact that it can do userscripts but also css themes. It would have been nice to have a single extension instead of whatever monkey + stylus.
>>
>>107073307
tampermonkey isn't open source
violentmonkey is and is also more feature complete, meaning more scripts will work correctly
>>
>>107073563
nta, I love the separation between "just css" (stylus) and js+css (*monkey)
I also have a few global or semi-global stylus themes

firefox: violentmonkey
chrome: scriptcat

Can you call an apple an apple? It's called proprietary malware. Malware that attacks your freedoms and your humanity.

I grew up in the 90s and have been taught to never trust the Chinese.
>>
>>107073712
since the violentmonkey people refuse to update it for mv3 there isn't a good and open-source one left when I last checked
>>
>>107073595
First point is true, second is a bunch of bullshit.
>>
>>107073691
Bleh, most open source projects don't distribute deterministic builds, so they're only open source for marketing purposes. Especially your shitty browser.
>>
They should make a fork of violentmonkey called NiggerMonkey. It would work the exact same since violent is already perfect. The only difference is the name and icon, which itself would be a monochrome blackface cartoon. Oh, wait, it would also filter all userscripts not in english without giving you the option to see them.

what does trusting the chinese have to do with growing up in the 90s

4ChanX still isn't working? That's disappointing.

>Should I switch to FireMonkey?
I tried using FireMonkey a long time ago. For some reason, almost none of the scripts I had installed werkd. I don't remember there being anything like logs at the time to check what exactly the problem was, so I just deleted it and came back to ViolentMonkey. Maybe they fixed it, if so, go ahead with FM.
>>
>>107074885
That's XT though, so I still had hope for X.
>>

Is there really no better alternative on Chrome? It has about 3 times as many extensions as Firefox, including script managers.

Wiggers still think they're superior when BBC is all they can think about all day while shitposting from their trailer home.

>It has about 3 times as many extensions as Firefox
My schizo mind is convinced that 60% of Chrome extensions are malware.
