Put 98SE on there so you can boot into DOS. Fill it with 90's PC games. It should be a screamer with anything you throw at it if that celeron has a decent clock speed. 250mb of ram for that time period is a good find.

Hey I’m doing the same thing with an EeePC900a with 1gb of ram. If you’re looking for bare minimum, look into slitaz (although their website went down today), alpine, and tiny core. They’re all recently maintained, ISO’s <100mb, and capable of running at <50mb of ram, depending on what you choose to run on it. As far as wm’s, I’ve looked into dwm, cwm, ratpoison, and i3/sway so far. Look up a memory comparison of light Linux desktops. Half the fun of projects like these is exploring and experimenting. Have fun!

I've never really distro hopped before, I literally started on manjaro 5 years ago and fucking hated it (standard manjaro experience) and switched to arch and just have used that since.
